• Sridhar Sena won the title of the reality show Super Singer Season 8. He was crowned as the winner in the grand finale held on September 26. Sridhar received the trophy and cash prize of Rs 10 lakh presented to him by the top music composer Anirudh Ravichander. Bharat was declared as the runner-up and Abhilash was declared as the second runner-up. Sridhar Sena, who is from Coimbatore, had participated in the reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Tamil.
  
• As promised earlier, special guest Anirudh announced that the winner Sridhar Sena will be given a playback opportunity.
  
• Runner-up Bharat was awarded a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh and an additional sum of Rs 50,000. Second runner-up Abhilash received a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh.
• Muthusirpi won the title of Differentiator of this season and was given a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. Super Singer season 8 premiered in January this year with 20 contestants. Out of them, six contestants made it to the grand finale after passing through several rounds of eliminations. This includes Sridhar Sena, Muthusirpi, Bharath, Anu, Abhilash, and Maanasi. Sridhar Cena and Manasi entered the finals after becoming wildcard round winners. All six finalists gave their best in the finale. But, Sridhar became the title winner. Anuradha Sriram, Benny Dayal, Unnikrishnan, and SPB Charan, judged the performances of the finalists. Other musicians and singers like K.S. Chithra, Santhosh Narayanan, Ananth Vaidhyanathan, Malgudi Subha, Kalpana, Manikka Vinayagam, and others graced the show as the special judges.
  The event also featured performances by Harish Kalyan and Cooku with Comalis fame Pugazh, Sivaangi Krish, and others.The show was hosted by Ma Ka Pa Anand and Priyanka Deshpande.

• Super Singer season 8, the popular reality show which was launched in January this year, is coming to an end on September 26. Top music composer Anirudh Ravichander will be the chief guest of the show and crown the winner of the season.
• Super Singer season 8 premiered in January 2021 with the best 20 contestants who were selected after multiple rounds of preliminary auditions. The show featured contestants who were talented enough with the ability to sing in various genres. After going through many rounds of eliminations.
• Final six contestants have made it to the grand finale. They are Muthusirpi, Sridharsena, Bharath, Abhilash, Anu and Maanasi. Among them, Sridharsena and Maanasi were wildcard round winners. These six finalists will have a musical battle for the coveted title of Super Singer season 8.
• Chief guest Anirudh Ravichander will honor the title winner. Besides this, the title winner will get a playback opportunity in Anirudh’s composition.

About the show, Judges, Host:

• The Eighth Season of Super Singer 8 scheduled to start on 24 January 2021 with a Grand launch of a nine-hour program on Star Vijay.
• All the episodes will be available on the OTT Platform-Hotstar.
• The judging panel was often shuffled with Anuradha Sriram, Unni Krishnan, Swetha Mohan, Benny Dayal, S. P. Charan, Kalpana Raghavendar and Shakthisree Gopalan.

All Season Winners:

• Season 1 title winner Nikhil Mathew was formally introduced as a playback singer after he sang the song "Enadhuyire" in the Tamil film Bheema for music director, Harris Jayaraj.Season 1 runner up and viewer's choice, Anitha V. (now known as Anitha Karthikeyan) was formally introduced as a playback singer in the Tamil film Marudhamalai by music director D. Imman
• Ajeesh won the competition and was chosen by Yuvan Shankar Raja to sing the song Idhu Varai for the soundtrack of Tamil film, Goa.
• Saicharan won the competition, and was chosen by A. R. Rahman and D. Imman to sing in the films Godfather, Manam Kothi Paravai, and Saattai.
• Diwakar won the competition, and was chosen by music directors D. Imman, Vivek-Mervin, and Kannan to sing in the films Panjumittai, Vadacurry, and Kalkandu.
• Anand Aravindakshan was declared the winner of the season, while contestant Fareedha was declared first runner-up. Both finalists were promised an opportunity to sing for one of the upcoming films of music director Santhosh Narayanan. Contestant Rajaganapathy was chosen as the judge's choice scoring the highest marks and being declared the second runner-up of the season.
• Senthil Ganesh was declared the Winner of the Super Singer Season 6, Rakshitha Suresh became the first runner up of the season and gets applauded by everyone for being the "Golden Voice of the Season". Malavika Rajesh Vaidya was the second runner up of the season.
• Murugan was declared the Winner of the Super Singer Season 7 and received a 50 lakh worth house by Arun Excello. Vikram was the first runner up of the season and was awarded 25 lakh gold by Gold one. Sam Vishal who got the highest number of public votes emerged as the second runner up of the season along with Punya who was getting the highest scores in all rounds of the season and even in the grand finale. She failed to gather public votes, Gowtham was the third runner up of the season.
