Bengali television serial ‘Trinayani’, starring Gourab Roy Chowdhury and Shruti Das in the lead roles, entertained the audience from March 2019 to July 2020.

Story:

The story of village belle Nayan, who was blessed with the power to foresee the future, managed to woo the audience within a short period of time. Now, the show will entertain Punjabi audiences as well. ‘Trinayani’ has recently been remade in Punjabi as ‘Nayan - Jo Vekhe Unvekha’, starring some very popular artists in prominent roles. Actress Ankita Saili is playing the titular role while actor Manjeet S Makkar is essaying the male lead in the Punjabi TV show.
According to the story, Dripta had some unforeseen threat from someone very close to him. His dad meets Nayan, who has been blessed with some divine power and gets her married to Dripta. Although Dripta marries Nayan out of compulsion, he eventually falls in love with her. Nayan becomes a shield and protects Dripta and others from every possible threat. The supernatural drama was filled with some high-voltage drama and managed to strike a chord with the audience. It fared well on the TRP charts, too.

Prior to this, ‘Trinayani’ was remade in Telugu and Kannada with the same title.
It has also been remade in Odia as ‘Dibyadrushti’. Not only that, initially the Bengali show was dubbed into Bhojpuri as ‘Trikali-Vardan Ya Abhishap’ and later, the Telugu remake was also dubbed into Bhojpuri as ‘Trikali 2’.
The show received good response in almost every regional TV channel. ‘Trinayani’ was Shruti’s very first show and its success made her a household name in Bengali. Gourab played the role of a successful businessman named Dripta Basu.
