  Bengali model-turned-actress Darshana Banik doesn’t need any introduction. She is one of the most sought-after models, who have been the face of many leading brands. Darshana is currently featuring in non-fiction show ‘Golemaale Gol’. Her presence has certainly added some spicy flavour to this cookery-based show with a comic tadka. About the Show:

• There seems to be a raining choice of Bengali TV shows for the viewers.
  
• A mix platter of entertainment including new fiction and non-fiction shows have been launched in the recent past, while a few are gearing up for its launch.
  
• Adding one more to the list, comedy show ‘Golemale Gol’, hosted by Sourav Das will be launched on September 25.

Format:

• According to the format, six celebrity cooking experts are paired with six celebrity cooking disasters. Team ‘Gublet Gang’ will create chaos to interrupt the cooking experts.
  
• It will be interesting to see how celebrities overcome the challenges and complete their cooking.
• ‘Team Rapchik Radhuni’ will have Joyjit Banerjee, Jeetu Kamal, Samidh Mukherjee, Darshana Banik, Monalisa Paul, and Ananya Biswas as the cooking experts.
• 'Team Gublet Gang’ features Sayan Ghosh, Vicky Nandy, Taniya Roy, Raju Majumdar, Taranga Sarkar, and Sanghasri Sinha as the troublemakers. The show will be hosted by none other than actor Sourav Das.

Star Cast, Celebs, Contestants:

• Feature an ensemble cast. Actors Jeetu Kamal, Jayjit Banerjee, Sayan Raw, Monalisa Paul, Anannya Biswas and many others will appear on the show. Model-turned-actress Darshana Banik will also be seen in ‘Golemale Gol’.
  
• The team started shooting for the show and the cast and crew had a fun time on the floor. The non-fiction show will have a comedy flavour and the leading actors of Bengali TV will be seen in a an interesting avatar in this soon-to-be-launched show.
• Sangit Tiwari, who stepped into the showbiz as a participant in popular stand up comedy show ‘Mirakkel’, is now a director and will direct ‘Golemale Gol’. With this, actor Sourav Das will be seen on the small screen after a brief break. He is giving the small screen a miss and mostly stays busy with films and his other projects.

Bengali Competitions, New Shows:

• A series of new shows like ‘Aay Tobe Sohochori’, ‘Uma’, ‘Sangeet Er Mahajuddho’, ‘Debi’ and others launched recently. Bengali TV’s one of the most popular shows ‘Dadagiri Season 9’, hosted by Sourav Ganguly will also be launched soon. Dadagiri’s shooting is on high roar.

Interviews:

• Director Sangit Tiwari, who has directed several popular non-fiction shows, says, “Golemaale Gol has a unique concept. We had a long brainstorming session before hitting the floor. It isn’t just a cookery show. We tried to blend cookery with fun. There will be two teams that include cooking experts and cooking disasters. The members of Rapchik Radhuni and Gublet Gang will create a laugh riot in the show.”
  
• Spilling the beans, Sangit says, “We all had one-of-a-kind experience during the shoot on first two days. Managing 12 celebrities, crew members and a concept like Golemaale Gol isn’t a simple task (laughs). On day one, we actually couldn’t understand who belonged to which team and there was a complete chaos and laughter riot on the shooting floor.”
• There will be tasks assigned by popular chef Doel who will judge and score the teams based on their dishes. The participants are having a good time during the shoot. Host Sourav said, “Just like a cricket team each player has their roles to play. We had some madness during the shoot (laughs).”
• Jeetu, who loves cooking, is enjoying his journey. “I love cooking. But I mostly cook Indian cuisine and can prepare Mughlai dishes too. In the show, I am learning new cuisines. Moreover, I am also surprised to see how some of our co-participants are excellent cooks. Not only that, they are creative about garnishing as well. For example, I knew Monalisa is a good actress and anchor. After working with her, I came to know, she is a good cook and really creative when it comes to garnishing. And to be honest, I am learning this from her,” says Jeetu.
• Senior actor Joyjit is yet another celebrity participant in the show. He says, “We all have suffered a lot because of the pandemic. I hope this show will put a smile on the faces of our audience. As far as the shooting experience goes, we are having full masti. Right from the director, creative team, crew, and participants- we all are working hard and at the same time, enjoying it too.”
