Bommi B.A, B.L., the Tamil dubbed version of the Hindi show Barrister Babu, is all set to entertain the audience from May 3 (today). The channel airing it has confirmed the same with the promo videos on their media handles.

About the show:

• The highly impactful social drama Bommi B.A, B.L. is a period drama set in the pre-independence era in Bengal.
• Bommi B.A, B.L. is expected to keep the audience glued with its compelling storyline, which showcases the deeply rooted prejudice and bias against women.

Story:

• The story of Bommi B.A, B.L. deals with the social injustice that women suffer in a conservative male-dominant society. The storyline deals with the issues like child marriage, denial of re-marriage of widows, and issues like getting young children being married to older men.
• The storyline of Bommi B.A, B.L. revolves around two major characters, Bommi (played by Aura Bhatnagar) and Anirudh (played by Pravisht Mishra), a London-returned barrister. Anirudh is very practical and liberal in nature.
• Bommi, an eight-year-old is being married off to a 60-year-old man. Following this, she faces grave injustice and social discrimination as she gets treated like a slave of her 60-year-old husband. Bommi’s life changes altogether when she meets Anirudh (played by Pravisht Mishra). Eventually, Anirudh and Bommi become a couple.
• Anirudh helps Bommi to get out of gloomy traditions and social discrimination. In addition to this, Anirudh encourages and helps Bommi to become a Barrister too. Later, an empowered Bommi challenges the system with her tough and thought-provoking arguments. Following this, will Bommi and Anirudh succeed in challenging the age-old traditions and norms, which leads to social revolution, forms the crux of the story.
