Story:
The story revolves around Kolhapur's affluent Shirke Patil family consisting of patriarch Yashwant Shirke-Patil (Dadasaheb), his wife Nandini (Mai), sons Malhar and Uday & their respective wives Shalini and Devki. Money minded by nature and influenced by their wives, Malhar and Uday constantly try to swindle their parents' money to satisfy their own selfish interests.
Also, a part of the household is maid, Gauri, who was taken in by the family after her father sacrificed himself while saving Dadasaheb's life. Though treated as a daughter by Mai and Dadasaheb, she is constantly berated and ill-treated by other members of the family, except Malhar who sympathises with her.
The plot takes off when the Shirke-Patil's youngest son, Jaydeep, returns from London along with his girlfriend, Jyotika, whom he intends to marry. Having stayed away from the influence of his conniving brothers and sisters-in-law, he strives to keep the family united as well as providing Gauri with the kindness she deserves. A string of trying situations eventually lead to Jaydeep marrying Gauri in order to protect her honour.

In the wake of a sudden spike in the cases of COVID-19 in Maharashtra, the state government has imposed stricter restrictions till April 30. The film and TV shoots have been stopped because of the same.
Addinath Kothare, who is currently backing two Marathi TV shows - ‘Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta’ and ‘Dakkancha Raja Jyotiba’ - has decided to move the shoot location to some other state, for time being. In fact, he has started hunting for a new location already as he flew to Hyderabad on Friday morning for the same.
Talking about his prompt decision, he said, “Since shoots are not allowed in Maharashtra, I am doing reece for new location in the film city in Hyderabad.” We hear that there are discussions going in several other TV production houses with regards to shifting the shoot locations of their respective shows until the shoots are allowed in Maharashtra.
