Goods and Bads will find from Urine Analysis
Your Pee Can Tell You About Covid 19 Severity
If you’re infected with coronavirus, your urine can tell if you’re likely to develop severe disease. This is what a new study has suggested. A research team led by researchers from Wayne State University in Detroit, US, examined urine samples of Covid-19 patients and found elevated levels of specific biomarkers of the immune system compared to those who were not infected with coronavirus. The levels of these inflammatory markers were higher in patients with comorbidities such as high blood pressure and diabetes. If the study result is further proven, a regular screening process may help predict which Covid-19 patients is likelier to develop severe disease and aid in a successful treatment strategy. Your pee can tell a lot about your health. Here are a few things that your urine can tell. Dark urine If your urine is dark, it means you are taking in much fewer fluids than what your body requires. A dark urine is a sign of dehydration. It is recommended to drink a minimum of eight glasses daily. Blood in urine If you see blood in your urine, see a doctor. It may be a sign of kidney disease, an enlarged prostate, bladder cancer, or sickle cell anemia. Blood in your urine may also result from hard exercise or medication. Smelly urine Dehydration and eating certain foods can make your urine smelly. But smelly urine may also be an early warning sign of certain diseases like diabetes, urinary infection, kidney problems, and liver issues. If you notice an obnoxious odour, talk to your doctor Read evaporation line A urine sample is also used to test pregnancy. Such tests are done to check for hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), a hormone that is present only in the bodies of pregnant women. Kidney stones If you feel like going to washroom often but can’t pee much, it could be due to kidney stones which causes blockage in the urine tube. To check if you have kidney stones, your doctor will test your urine for calcium and a certain kind of acid. An enlarged prostate, bladder cancer, or blood clots can also lead to blockage. |
