Born in Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh, Lasya did her engineering from the reputed Chaitanya Bharati Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. After the success of Something Special, she hosted a variety of TV shows like 'Mondi Mogudu Penki Pellam' in 2014, Maa Oori Vanta in 2016, and 'Dhee Ultimate Dance Show' in 2017.

The vivacious anchor received multiple awards which include the Padmamohana Arts Theatre Award for the Best Female Video Jockey in 2014 and many other awards later that year. Defying all the linkup rumors with her co-host Ravi, Lasya married her long-term boyfriend Manjunath in 2017. She also made her acting debut in the same year with the movie, 'Raja Meru Keka'. She last appeared in Nandamuri Kalyanram's film MLA, as his sister in 2018.

Bigg Boss Telugu 4: Lasya Manjunath makes a shocking confession about her first pregnancy and depression; apologises to parents



The recent episode of Bigg Boss Telugu season 4 saw a shocking confession made by Lasya. As per a task, Lasya revealed that she got married to Manjunath in 2010 without the approval of her family. Her family severed their ties with her for a few years. She added that her father called her in 2014, for the first time in four years, and asked her to settle down in life before they perform their marriage but she was pregnant by then. Lasya confessed that she got her pregnancy terminated. She further concealed that she suffered a miscarriage within five months of her official wedding in 2014.

Lasya burst into tears sharing with the housemates about her miscarriage and depression. Talking about her little bundle of joy Junnu, Lasya stated that she still misses her first baby. The popular anchor also apologised to her parents on the show.
The rest of the housemates were also seen in tears with Lasya's confession. She was rewarded with a new mobile phone for sharing her most painful moment and memories that can change someone's life as a part of the task.

Bigg Boss Telugu 4: Lasya Manjunath to get evicted from the show?



It's time for yet another eviction in Bigg Boss Telugu season 4 and it is going to be unsurprising. As per the latest reports, popular anchor Lasya Manjunath is most likely to get evicted from the show in tonight's (November 22) episode. An official confirmation on this is expected in the episode though.

Six contestants - Abhijeet, Monal, Harika, Lasya, Ariyana and Sohel - were nominated for eliminated this week. Sohel was already saved in Saturday's episode. Family members of the contestants visited the episode and mentioned their respective top 5 finalists. Lasya, Monal and Avinash got less number of mentions in the list. They had to sacrifice their most important possession and wait if they will get it them back.

Lasya earned good will amongst the housemates and fans by cooking for the entire house since day one. However, she was criticised for her 'safe game' and close association with Abhijeet, Harika and Noel. Lasya's husband Manjunath visited the house very recently and asked her to focus on her individual game than confining herself to the kitchen. The vivacious anchor, who was on a sabbatical embracing motherhood, sought a good comeback with Bigg Boss Telugu season 4. Bigg Boss Telugu 4, Day 77, November 22, highlights: Lasya got eliminated; drops the 'Bigg Bomb' on Abhijeet



In the latest episode of Bigg Boss Telugu 4, contestants split into 2 teams with Harika and Ariyana leading the two teams. They had to guess the names of songs taking clues from a few pictures. Not only did they compete in guessing the songs right, but also had fun dancing to them all along. Contestants in nominations were lined up, and Harika was the first to be saved for the week.

The caller of the week was Chandrika from Guntur who had a question for Lasya. She said that she finds Lasya to be playing safe while every other member in the house is open in their conversations and gameplay. She asked Lasya if she thinks it to be the right strategy to win the title. Lasya thanked the caller and clarified that it wasn't her safe game but that her personality was as such. Monal was saved next. They engaged in a game of ludo and performed fun activities for the audience. Akhil sang the same song with different paces while Avinash got d****d in a saree in less than a minute and danced with the guys.

Ariyana, Abhijeet and Lasya emptied a bottle of juice to find out who among them was safe. Abhijeet was saved. Lasya got eliminated and Nagarjuna welcomed her onto the stage. She got very emotional on reuniting with her family. Lasya named Sohel and Abhijeet as her top two contestants. She advised Avinash and Ariyana to be more open towards others' suggestions, Monal to have a clear head and Sohel and Akhil to be less aggressive. She called Abhijeet her best friend in the house and said she wishes to see Harika win the title.

She dropped the Bigg bomb on Abhijeet. He was made 'King of the kitchen', and has to handle kitchen responsibilities for the coming week.
