Default TOP 10 Biggest Home Remedies for Waxing

5 effective home remedies to treat bumps after waxing

One of the most common side effects of waxing is skin rashes. Here are five home remedies to treat bumps after waxing and relieve pain.

Skin rashes post waxing is a common side effect of hair removal. The pulling of the hair out of the follicle causes some irritation, which can cause redness. It generally tugs at the skin and causes it to pop out right after waxing. But it only happens for a few minutes, more than that could be a sign of an allergy. With that said, here are a few remedies to relieve the irritation and pain.

Aloe Vera: Grab 1 aloe vera leaf and squeeze out the gel from it. Aloe vera is known for its ability to treat wounds and inflammation, which can include mild burns and skin irritation. Due to its hydrating properties, aloe vera can be used to treat waxing bumps.

Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil contains antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties that speed up the natural healing process. It is one of the best essential oils for treating waxing bumps. All you need to do is dilute the oil with a carrier oil (coconut oil) and apply on the affected area. Massage for a minute or two so that it is observed in the skin. Leave the blend overnight and reapply this every night.

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV): Mix one-part apple cider vinegar and one-part water and mix well. Apply the mixture on the affected area using the cotton ball. Let it sit for 10 minutes and wash it off using normal water. Do this once or twice a day to let it work effectively. It contains astringent and antiseptic properties of ACV, which helps reduce inflammation.

Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is a great remedy that helps soothe inflamed and red skin. It is also an emollient that acts as a natural moisturizer for your skin. It contains antioxidants that help relieve the symptoms. Apply coconut oil on the affected area after cleaning your skin with a mild cleanser. Make sure you pat dry the skin and leave it on as long as possible. Do this twice in a week.

Sugar Scrub: A homemade sugar scrub can help soothe irritation and prevent ingrown hairs from forming. To make it at home, mix half a cup of sugar with half a cup of olive or coconut oil. Apply a small amount to the affected area and gently scrub the area. Do this every other day for effective results.
