Story, About:
Satyameva Jayate 2 is an upcoming 2020 Indian Hindi-language vigilante action film directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nikkhil Advani. A sequel of the 2018 film Satyameva Jayate, the film stars John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar. The concept is based on the fight against injustice and misuse of power. The film was announced on 27 September 2018 and it was also confirmed that Abraham will also perform high action scenes. The film is slated to be released on Gandhi Jayanti 2020.

The film was officially announced by Abraham on 27 September 2018. For the female lead role, in August 2019, director-producer Divya Khosla Kumar was finalized for the role, marking her comeback to acting after several years after Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo. The first look poster of the film was released in October 2019.

John To Do Action like The Hulk in Satyameva Jayate 2, says Director Milap Zaveri

Director Milap Zaveri revealed details about Satyameva Jayate 2 and said that the sequel would see John doing larger than life action sequences. He revealed that John would have superhero qualities like that of the Hulk from Avengers series.

The 2018 vigilante action film Satyameva Jayate starring John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee in lead roles was a big hit and the makers set out to make the second instalment of the film, Satyameva Jayate 2. Directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nikkhil Advani, the sequel stars John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar.

The movie was set to go on floors but due to the lockdown, the shooting was stalled. Reacting to the same, director of the Satyameva Jayate series Milap Zaveri told Mumbai Mirror: "It’s good we had not gone on the floors because losses are much higher when shoots are halted mid-way.”

Milap also revealed details about the second instalment and stated that while the first part of the film saw two brothers fighting corruption, the sequel would see John doing larger than life action sequences. He revealed that John would have superhero qualities like that of the Hulk from Avengers series.

"In Part 2, John is almost like a superhero. He will do things he has never done before, for instance, rip a tyre or a door, like the Hulk," Milap told the daily.

It was also reported earlier that John will be seen in a triple role in the sequel, but the director did not comment on the same and further revealed that he has cracked the basic plot for Satyameva Jayate 3. “I want to keep making Satyameva Jayate with John every few years. Corruption will never go away in India and this franchise will take it on” Milap Zaveri says.

On the other hand, John will also be seen in ‘Attack’ co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez and also has Mohit Suri’s ‘Ek Villain 2’ starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Tara Sutaria, and Disha Patani in his pipeline.
