Default Xiaomi Mi Smart Camera PTZ and PTZ Pro launched: Price and Key Features

Xiaomi has launched two new security cameras as part of its new AIoT product lineup. At the Mi Festival event in China last week, the company introduced a bunch of new devices. Among the gadgets launched include new smart security cameras called the Mi Smart Camera PTZ and PTZ Pro. The cameras debut as part of Xiaomi’s smart home product lineup. They join the existing range of smart security cameras under the Mi brand. Here is everything you need to know.

The Mi Smart Camera PTZ and PTZ Pro are security cameras that come with smart features. It means that these cameras can be used to remotely monitor your home. Since they are smart, the cameras will alert owners when they see illegal entry into your home. The Mi Smart Camera PTZ is priced at RMB 199 (around Rs 2,150) while the Mi Smart Camera PTZ Pro will be sold for RMB 249 (around Rs 2,700). They are currently available for pre-order in China and might become available in India soon.

The difference between the two models seems to boil down to the camera configuration and design. The Mi Smart Camera PTZ has a 3-megapixel camera with a f/1.4 aperture. The smart camera is capable of recording in low light and captures video with full colors. It is capable of recording 2K videos. This should be helpful in the case of burglary since it captures high-resolution video. The camera itself features a 6P lens and offers a 360-degree field of view.*The highlight of this camera is the wide f/1.4 aperture.

The Mi Smart Camera PTZ Pro, on the other hand, also has a 3-megapixel camera but supports AI human detection. It also offers panorama sweep feature with a 360-degree field of view. One of the big differences between the standard and Pro model is that the latter has more Bluetooth gateway functions. It also supports dual band WiFi (2.4GHz + 5GHz). With these smart security cameras, Xiaomi is strengthening its portfolio of smart home devices.
