• Super Singer Season 4 is airing a musical extravaganza this weekend featuring Bollywood singer Shilpa Rao. Music reality series ‘Super Singer Season 4’ has kept the audiences glued to the television screen with its melodious presentation. Besides welcoming a star-studded judges’ panel, featuring Shaan, Rupam Islam and Monali Thakur, the recently launched season has some impeccably talented singers who are competing hard cement their positions in the show.
  
• Meanwhile, the makers are adding more entertainment quotient by welcoming special guests. This week, ‘Super Singer Season 4’ has some melodious treats for the audience. Bollywood singer Shilpa Rao, who has sung songs like ‘Khuda Jaane’ (from movie Bachna Ae Haseeno), ‘Mudi Mudi’ (From movie Paa) , including the latest chart-buster ‘Besharam’, from Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham ‘Pathaan’, is making an appearance on ‘Super Singer Season 4’ as a special guest. She recently visited Kolkata to shoot for a special episode of the singing reality show which is being aired this weekend. That’s not all, the makers of ‘Super Singer’ has yet another surprise for the audience. Making the show more melodious, the stage is set to welcome Anupam Roy.

About the Show:

• Super Singer is an Indian Bengali language reality-based singing competition. It has aired on Star Jalsha since 2019. The whole series is available digitally on Disney+ Hotstar. It is designed to be a talent hunt to find the best voice of Bengal.
  
• The fourth season of popular music reality series ‘Super Singer’ is all set to hit the small screen. Starting from January 7, the reality show will entertain the audience every weekend.
• Super Singer Season 4, will bring 25 talented singers, on one stage who will musically battle it out to win the coveted title of the show. Music composer and singer Sovon Ganguly will be the music arranger for the show.
  
• Sujoy Bhowmik, Dipannita Chowdhury and Tirtha Bhattacharya will be grooming the participants throughout the season.
  
• The minimum age limit for the participation in the third season is fixed as 15 years, while there is no as such restriction for the maximum age, to participate.

• The upcoming season promises to be a star-studded one with singers Shaan and Monali Thakur as the esteemed judges.
  
• This time, singer Rupam Islam will join the panel of judges which is going to be a musical treat for Bengali audience. Rupam doesn’t make much appearances on reality shows unlike other artists from Tollywood music industry.
• While Jisshu’s presence in Super Singer’s new season was quite anticipated, fans hoped Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam will be a part of this edition as well, just like the previous one. But he is going to give the show a miss just like eminent singers Kumar Sanu and Koushiki Chakraborty, who had been a part of the show for quite some time now.

All Season Winners:

• Season 1: The first season was started as Super Singer Junior airing from 1 June 2019. The show was hosted by Rukma Roy, a Bengali television actress and the judges were Kumar Sanu, Kaushiki Chakraborty and Jeet Ganguly. The winners of Super Singer Junior were Sharmishtha Debnath from Tollygunge, Kolkata and Pranjal Biswas from Karimpur, Nadia.
• Season 2, The second season was started as Super Singer airing from 12 January 2020. The show was hosted by popular Bengali actor, Jisshu Sengupta. The judges were Kumar Sanu, Kavita Krishnamurti and Jeet Ganguly. After the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 in India, they were replaced by Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Rupankar Bagchi, Lopamudra Mitra and Shaan. The winner of the season was Sanchari Sengupta from Kasba, Kolkata.
• Season 3, The third season was started as Super Singer Season 3 from 28 August 2021. It is hosted by Jisshu Sengupta. The judges who are about to grace the show are Kumar Sanu, Kaushiki Chakraborty and Sonu Nigam. The winner was Shuchismita Chakraborty from Midnapore.
