Default Yuvraj Malhotra sacked from Waaris

A little birdie from the sets informs, “This incident happened a week ago. Yuvraj was annoyed that he was shooting for more hours. He then had a heated argument with the production manager and soon they were exchanging blows. The matter was reported to CINTAA (Cine and TV Artist’s Association) who immediately ordered for Yuvraj’s removal. Yuvraj hasn’t registered himself with CINTAA.”

Yuvraj, who plays the character of Shaurya, says, “Smriti Iraani simply didn’t want me in the show. All this drama was created to have me ousted. Though, I’m not a member with CINTAA yet, I have applied for the membership. My card is expected to come within a month.”

Elaborating on the unfortunate event, Yuvraj says, “CINTAA had issued a directive that no artist should be working for more than twelve hours a day. It was 11.30 pm and the production guys were simply joking around and showed no intent of finishing the work. That day, I wasn’t feeling well, plus I was badly in need of sleep. I requested these guys to hurry up but there was no change. It was then that I lost my cool and things went out of hand. I have never come across such a disorganized production house before.”

Meanwhile, it was also buzzed that Yuvraj’s co-actor Iqbal has tendered his resignation as a measure of rendering support to Yuvraj. Iqbal though rubbished such news. “No, I’m not quitting and if ever I were to quit a show it would be because of the content and nothing else
