The gates will remain open from 9am to 2pm.

Please ensure to carry the following documents for the auditions:

3 Passport size photographs of the contestants.
1 Passport size photograph of mother/father.
Age proof of the contestant.
Identity Proof of the contestant.

Season 1: Chhote Ustaad



The director, Gajendra Singh, then continued the series with a version for juniors called "Amul Star Voice of India Chhote Ustaad," meant for children between the ages of 8 and 14. The series was hosted by Voice of India Jury-Award winner Abhaas Joshi and judges Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala, and Pritam.

The grand finale took place on 5 April 2008. Amitabh Bachan and Juhi Chawla were the chief guests. Aishwariya was announced as the winner. Both Anwesha and Aishwariya are going to USA for a stage show.
The Grand Finale was hosted by Abhaas Joshi and Shaan.

RULES FOR AUDITIONS FOR THE PROGRAM TITLED CHHOTE USTAAD

The mega auditions for the program titled “Chhote Ustaad” (“Program”) on STAR PLUS channel (“Channel”) will be held as stated hereunder (“Auditions”):

1. The Channel shall run On-Air promos on its network channels including the Channel from June 1, 2010. The promos will specify the details of the Auditions. The rules and regulations with regard to the Auditions will be available on www.starplus.in.

2. Auditions will be held on June 12, 2010 and June 13, 2010, (“Period”) (both dates inclusive) at Shahaji Raje Kreeda Kendra, Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai (“Venue”).

3. The Auditions are open for persons residing in India, between the age of eight (8) to fourteen (14) years only.

4. The Channel has appointed “Saibaba Telefilms Pvt. Ltd.” (“Production House”) for organizing the Auditions and short listing the candidates for participating in the Program.

5. The gates of the Venue will be open from 9:00 a. m. to 14:00 p. m. during the Period. Persons interested in participating in the Auditions (“Participant(s)”), must reach the Venue during the time mentioned above, accompanied by their guardian(s) (“Companion”). The entry will be open on first come first serve basis.

6. The entries of Participant(s) reaching beyond the time and Period mentioned above shall not be considered for the purpose of Auditions.

7. The Participant(s)/Companion shall have to make his/her own arrangements for travel to and from their place of residence to the Venue. The cost of travel and stay shall be borne by the Participant(s)/Companion.

8. Participant(s) will be judged by the eminent music directors appointed by the Production House and Channel/STAR India and/or its representatives (“Judges”). At the end of the Period, the Judges will announce the names of the short listed candidate(s) (Candidate(s)”) from amongst the Participant(s). The decision of the Judges would be final and binding on all Participant(s).

9. Upon intimation from the Judges, the Candidate(s) must furnish all the documents which the Channel or the representatives of the Channel has requested from Candidate(s). In the event, the Candidate(s) fails to furnish the documents requested, the Candidate(s) shall be disqualified and the opportunity given to such Candidate(s) to participate in the Program shall be forfeited.

10. All Candidate(s) including their Companion(s) (if any) shall execute all such documents as may be required by STAR India and/or the Channel.

11. The Companion of the Candidate(s) shall, execute all necessary documents on behalf of the Participant(s) which shall be legal and binding on the Participant(s).

12. The Candidate(s) may be asked to extend their stay in Mumbai, in such event, the cost of the stay of such Candidate(s)/Companion shall be borne by the Production House. The period of stay in hotel located in Mumbai may be decided by the Production House. The hotel would be chosen by the Production House and this decision of Production House shall be final and binding on the Candidate(s)/Companion. Star India and/or the Channel shall not be responsible liable for making such arrangement or any other liability that may arise with regard to such arrangement. It is clarified that Production House shall bear any and all liability that may arise with regard to the accommodation of the Candidate(s)/ Companion.

13. Save and except as stated in rule 12 herein above, all and any incidental costs (direct and/or indirect), in relation to such stay, including but not limited to any STD/ISD/local calls and/or any other services used by the Candidate(s)/Companion (as the case may be) in the hotel and also during their travel in and to Mumbai, shall be borne by the Candidate(s)/Companion and in no manner whatsoever shall STAR India and/or the Channel be held responsible for the same.

14. Neither STAR India nor the Channel nor its employees have given a guarantee and/or warranty etc. regarding the services to be offered by the hotels etc. and neither STAR India nor the Channel(s) nor its employees shall be responsible for any reason whatsoever in connection thereto.

15. The Candidate(s), their Companion and/or the Participant(s) shall not raise any dispute with regard to the Auditions and/or the decision of the Judges.

16. STAR India reserve the right to at any time to withdraw the Auditions without giving any prior notice thereof.

17. All Participant(s) and Candidate(s) must follow the rules and regulations for the Audition(s).

18. The Companion shall be solely responsible for the safety of the Participant(s)/Candidate(s) and shall at all times be with the Participant(s)/Candidate(s), take care of the Participant(s)/Candidate(s) and fulfill all the needs of the Participant(s)/Candidate(s). The Companion of the Participant(s)/Candidate(s) shall at all time keep STAR India and/or their representative’s and the Channel indemnified in connection thereto.

19. Neither STAR India nor the Channel shall be responsible for the safety of the Winner (s) or his/her Companion (if any) in any manner whatsoever in relation to the Auditions and/or the Program.

20. STAR India reserves the right to change the date, time and place of the Auditions of the Program.

21. By participating in the Auditions, it shall be deemed to have construed that the Participant(s)/Candidate(s) has waived his/her right, either on its own or through any third person, to dispute, the decision(s) made by STAR India and/or the Channel.

22. By participating in the Auditions, it shall be deemed to have construed that the Participant(s)/Candidate(s) has agreed and consented that the film crew of STAR India or its representatives, shall have the right to film the Auditions and also use the footages of the Auditions. The Auditions so filmed and any materials including the footage shall vest in entirely in favour of STAR India, world-wide and in perpetuity, in any and all media, by and/or any medium, technology whatsoever without any money payable to the Participants.


General Rules

1. The Participation of any Participant(s) below the age of 14 years, shall be construed that the Participant has participated, with the consent of its parents and/or legal guardian and that the parents and/or legal guardian shall be liable for all the obligations/ responsibility to be performed by the Participant. Any thing done by the Participant below the age of 14 years shall be considered to be done with the consent of the parent/legal guardian and by the parent/legal guardian.

2. Neither the Participant(s) or his parents or legal guardian, should not have criminal conviction.

3. Proof of age is a must for the Participant(s) and must be submitted to the STAR India and/or the Channel (i.e., Birth Certificate, School certificate/ passport/ an affidavit signed by a magistrate).

4. STAR India reserves all rights to make amendments to the existing rules and regulations without prior notice. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Participant(s) to check the rules and regulations for the Auditions on the website.

5. Non-conformance by any Participant(s), of the rules of the Auditions will disqualify that Participant(s), immediately, from participation in the Selections including the Audition, as the case may be.

6.The Winner(s) cannot exchange the opportunity to participate in the Auditions of the Program for items and/or for cash.

7. The participation of the Participant(s) in the Auditions shall mean that the Participant(s)/Companion have given their consent to the film crew of the Production House to interview the Participant(s) and his/her family members and also ask questions pertaining to their private affairs and/or family life. The rights to the aforesaid film including the footages and any materials in connection to the aforesaid, shall vest in entirely in favour of STAR India, world-wide and in perpetuity, in any and all media, by and/or any medium, whatsoever without any money payable to me.

8. STAR India and/or its representative shall have the right to exploit the Auditions and/or the Program and any material in connection to the Audition(s) and/or the Program including but not limited to any footages relating to the Participant(s) and/or his/her family, by any and all means throughout the world and shall have the right to syndicate, license to third party, edit, cut, translate, dub, package or alter the same, and to combine them with other material for any purposes. Further, STAR India and/or its representative shall also have the right to edit, alter and modify the materials in connection to the Auditions and/or the Program to the extent necessary for scheduling, technical purposes and censorship approval provided that such editing shall not, so far as possible, impair the integrity or quality of the Auditions and/or the Program.

9. Irrespective whether the Participant(s) is short-listed or not, all intellectual property rights including but not limited to any other rights, of any nature whatsoever, known now or which may come into existence in future, from time to time, via any media, medium and technology, in relation to the footage, Performance Promotional Activity or the Auditions, shall vest with STAR India, for worldwide and in perpetuity.

10. STAR India reserves the right to cancel the entry of any Participants including after the Participant is announced the short listed Candidate(s) of the Auditions. For avoidance of doubt, the disqualified Participants agrees that all the intellectual property rights in and to the performance shall continue to vest with STAR India for worldwide and in perpetuity, without any consideration payable to the disqualified Participants including the Candidate(s).

11. No dispute of any nature whatsoever, with regard to the Audition procedure shall be raised by the Participant(s)/Candidate(s) and/or Companion.

12. The Participant(s), Candidate(s) /Companion shall do any and all acts and execute any and all documents in such manner and at such location as may be required by STAR India in its sole discretion to protect, perfect or enforce any of the rights granted or confirmed to STAR India herein.

13. The Participant(s), Candidate(s) and Companion agrees that he/she shall hold harmless the STAR India, its affiliates, its group companies, the Channel, their employees, officers, or any other person in relation to Selections and/or the Auditions form any injury/damage/harm/loss suffered by him/her, in any manner, whatsoever in connection with the Auditions and waives all rights to file in person/ through any family member and/or third party any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India against the person named above, to claim any damages or relief’s.

17. STAR India or its representatives reserve the right to stop/discontinue the Auditions, for any reason whatsoever, any time it deems fit without any prior notice in connection thereto. In the event, the Auditions are discontinued for any reasons whatsoever; STAR India and/or the Channel or their representatives shall not be responsible to compensate the Participant(s) or shall not be responsible for any arrangements made in connection thereto. Neither STAR India nor the Channel nor any of their representatives shall be responsible to inform the Participant(s) in advance, in the event, STAR India decides to discontinue the Auditions.

18. Neither STAR India nor the Channel nor any of their representatives shall be responsible in any manner whatsoever, for any injury, death, mental trauma caused to the Participant(s) or the Companion (if any) in any manner whatsoever, in connection to the Auditions and/or the Program.

19. Employees of STAR India, advertising agency, which has been appointed from time to time, and also employees of the main sponsors; and members of their immediate family cannot participate in the Selections.

20. STAR India reserves the right to disqualify a Participant(s) incase a discrepancy is found to exist in the information furnished/provided/stated by the Participant(s) during the conversation with STAR India and/or the Channel and/or the representatives and in the information(s) stated in the documents furnished by the Participant(s).

21. The participation of the Participants in the Auditions shall mean that the Participants has read, understood, accepted and agrees to abide with all the rules including the general rules of the Auditions.

22. STAR India may in its sole discretion exclude a Participant from participation in the Selections which may include without limitation (i) circumstances which, in STAR India’s view, renders the Participants unfit to participate therein; (ii) inability to produce documentation required by STAR India and/or its representatives in the rules and/or at any given point of the time.

23. The terms of this rules and regulations shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India and incase of any dispute or other matter arising in reference to the Selections shall be referred to a sole arbitrator appointed by STAR India and shall be governed by the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, amended from time to time. The venue for arbitration shall be Mumbai, in English language. The cost, charges and expenses including legal expenses shall be solely borne by the Participant(s)/Companion.
