Sony really wants to conquer the TRP race as last year it re-launched their old horror show Aahat with an all new series and now in 2010 they are launching their old show Crime Patrol, with all fresh series and there is a buzz that Balika Vadhu fame actor Anoop Soni will anchor the show.
An Indya source tells us, "
Crime Patrol will again take the initiative of motivating citizens to fight crime by encouraging viewers to be more pro-active in safeguarding themselves and their loved ones. Earlier this new series of
Crime Patrol was to be produced by SRK's Red Chillies Idiot Box, but now Optimystix will be producing the show. For the uninitiated, Shakti Anand hosted the earlier version of the show.
Crime Patrol is such a show, which needs a lot of story telling in spite of being a reality show. We are working on all the aspects as we are shooting in the real locations of the crime.”
We spoke to Anoop Soni who told us, “It is too early to comment on this, we will talk later on this as the things have not yet materialized.”
Crime Patrol’s new version is expected to launch in the last week of January, and will probably take a daily prime time slot.
