In the Applicability section, enter the start of the earliest accrual date, the entry date, and details on the employee's disability (challenge), if relevant.

If you do not want to differentiate using the above criteria, leave the fields blank or use a greater period for the entry date (01/01/1800 - 2/31/9999, for example).

In the Accrual period section, specify the period for which you want employee quota entitlements to be generated proportionate to the base period.

In this section you can use calendar-based periods, or you can base the period on the employee's employment period. For the latter option, you use a date type from the Date Specifications infotype (0041) and specify your own length. If you already used a date type for determining the base period, you should specify the same date type here.

Accrual period

Specifies the time period used for the calculation of accrual entitlements.

Use
You can choose from the following periods:
  • Daily: The entitlements of the employee are calculated daily. Note that when using this time period, the entitlements determined in this case will contain a lot of places after the decimal point and can thus cause rounding differences.
  • Monthly: Period from the first day to the last day of the month
  • Calendar year: Period of one year from 01/01/XX to 12/31/XX
  • Time evaluation period: Period determined in time evaluation, defined in the Determine the time evaluation period step in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Time Evaluation.
  • Payroll period: Period determined in payroll; valid payroll period of the day to be evaluated of the payroll area of the employee to be evaluated
  • Other period: Individually specified period; period parameters are defined in the Define period parameters step in the IMG for Payroll.
  • Rel. to date type: Period is defined in relation to a date type from the Date Specifications infotype (0041). You determine the accrual period using the length fields (for example, the date the employee joined the company, with a period of one month).

Quota Generation: Change of Work Center/Basic Pay

Specifies whether employees' organizational reassignments, reentry, and leaving within an accrual period are taken into account.

Use

If you select this field, SAP R/3 accrues an accrual entitlement calculated pro rata for an employee for the date of the organizational reassignment, reentry, or leaving. SAP R/3 accrues the entitlement even if the accrual time has not been reached.
If you do not select this field, the organizational reassignment, reentry, or leaving is not taken into account in the accrual period in which the change takes place.
  • If the employee is not active on the day of the accrual time, he or she does not receive any entitlement for that accrual period.
  • If the employee has an organizational reassignment, the system calculates the entitlement on the basis of the data that applies on the day of the accrual time.

Example
You accrue employees' accrual entitlement monthly. You have selected this field. Employees receive two days' entitlement each month.

An employee leaves the department in the middle of the month. His or her entitlement is increased by one day on the day of the organizational reassignment.
