Samsung released its Galaxy S21 series after a lot of fanfare earlier this month. The highlight of the series was the top-end Galaxy S21 Ultra that comes with support for S Pen which was earlier restricted to only Galaxy Note series or Samsung tablets. A new teardown video on YouTube now showcases the Ultra model's 108-megapixel primary camera sensor, 5000mAh battery and other internal components. We also get a closer look at the smartphone's repairability.

The nearly nine-minute teardown video posted by YouTube channel PBKreviews begins with removing the back of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra by applying some heat. The back panel features a glass construction, though the camera housing is made of metal. The YouTuber further says that the model in the video features single SIM-support and packs Exynos 2100 SoC, under the hood. Other markets like the US get Galaxy S21 Ultra with Snapdragon 888. After the back cover is removed, we get the first look at the wireless charging pad. Once the charging pad is taken away, we can notice battery, motherboard, and other components - all intact with screws and other cables. PBKreviews highlights that at first there are 14 screws. The Galaxy S21 Ultra packs a quad rear camera setup that includes a 108-megapixel primary camera, a 10-megapixel periscope-style telephoto camera, another 10-megapixel telephoto camera, and 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Three camera sensors come with OIS support, and the main sensor can record 8K resolution videos at 24fps. (Image: YouTube/ PBKreviews)

The video also points out that the Galaxy S21 Ultra lacks detachable screen connector cable that makes it more difficult for front screen replacement. Additionally, the battery comes with a strong adhesive that may pose risk at battery damage while repairing the phone. The YouTube channel has given the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra a repairability score of six out of 10. Its price in India starts at Rs 1,05,999 for the base 256GB model while the while the 512GB storage option costs Rs 1,16,999.
