The channel ventures into a new space of fun light-hearted and endearing romance with its latest show – Lockdown Ki Love Story premiering on Monday, 31st August at 7pm. Based in Prayagraj, the show will bring forth the enduring chemistry of two lovebirds Dhruv (played by Mohit Malik) and Sonam (played by Sana Sayyad) who are completely different from each other.

• Started with a good story line and for few weeks it was very entertaining but now they are just dragging the story. The show is showing that at the end always the scheming party wins no matter what you do. Love story became a hate story. A little bit of plot twist is ok but now there is no love left in the show and literally just waste of time
• The worst story and the worst writer. From the name of serial, u can guess it is a love story. But in real, it is a hate story. So much toxic character and the worst love story ever. Such a time waste. At first u will love the story line but gradually it goes to sasu bahu drama.

• I really love this serial. Best show ever on Star Plus and much better than those dramatic serials on Star Plus which are meaningless.This is one of the best shows I have watched till now. The concept of this show is really very good...I mean everything about this show is just fab...be it the set or the costumes or the performance of the actors or the songs of the serial...everything is awesome. This is a show which really deserves to be at the top of the trp chart instead of those old school and trashy saas bahu serials running since decades...must watch.

Talking about his experience while working for his new show, Mohit Malik says “Allahabadi was not a new dialect for me. I was aware of it but I decided to learn the nuances and the diction to get a perfect grasp over the same. My character in the show speaks Allahaabdi dialect since he is based out of Prayaraj. When this role was offered to me, we were in the lockdown phase and I utilized that time to sharpen my hold over this particular dialect. Even when we use to do workshops with our scriptwriters, I spent extra time with them to understand the tone and tonality of the dialect/language. A lot of the times during rehearsals, I was able to figure it out together with the writers. Whenever we feel there is a need for it, we try and tone down the dialogues so that the essence is conveyed without going overboard.”

Well, fans can’t wait to see Mohit in this new avatar.

Confirming the news and talking about the experience Mohit shared that his character Dhruv will sing 'Tum Hi Ho' for his ladylove Sonam.



Mohit Malik who is currently seen in Lockdown Ki Love Story will soon be making his singing debut. The actor will be singing a special number in the upcoming episode of the show. Mohit's character will be singing the song to his on-screen partner Sonam aka Sana Sayyad.

Confirming the news and talking about the experience Mohit shared that his character Dhruv will sing 'Tum Hi Ho' for his ladylove Sonam. Mohit mentioned that he did but riyaaz before the main shoot but still he was very nervous as he was singing on television for the very first time, but somehow he managed to sing and was appreciated by everyone on the set.
Mohit is very happy to be part of the show and playing the character as he is exploring new things.

The actor earlier played the character of Sikander on Kullfi Kumar Bajewala but the audience will first time hear his original voice.

Last seen in Patiala Babes, Aniruddh Dave will play a very different character in the show.



Star Plus show Lockdown Ki Lovestory, produced by Rashmi Sharma Productions will see the entry of actor Aniruddh Dave in the show. He who was last seen in Patiala Babes and will play a very different character in the show that features Mohit Malik and Sana Sayyad in the lead roles.

Aniruddh will play the role of Raghav who will be a rustic character. He will not be as polished as Dhruv is in his behavior and accent, but will always want to be the best. He will be seen in a negative avatar. Lockdown Ki Love Story also features Jayati Bhatia, Anjita Poonia, Vijay Kumar, Ananya Khare playing pivotal roles.

The one word that has been a constant for the past six months now - has been the word 'lockdown.' Lockdown was implemented in india and other countries in March and even things there is a lot of liberty given now, some basic restrictions continue. This word lockdown led to a straight up TV show on Star Plus in the form of Lockdown Ki Lovestory.

The show, starring Mohit Malik and Sana Sayyad in lead roles was launched back in August and even though it hasn't grabbed huge numbers, it continues to perform fairly well.

To keep the engagement going, the show has witnessed a few new entries recently and is now all set to witness two more. After Aniruddh Dave entered the show Mohit Malik's on-screen cousin, it will now witness two other actors coming in. Actors Adi Irani and Leena Balodi will be entering the show where they will be playing the parents to Dave's character of Raghav Jaiswal. It will be interesting to see what shades and ways do they bring in as new charactres.
