Gautami gives birth to a baby boy
Gautami and Ram Kapoor were blessed with a baby boy on January 12th. The actress says she is busy changing diapers of the new born these days!
"His name is Aks which means reflection. The name was decided by both of us as we felt it's a very unique name and secondly Ram wanted to give a very short name. Hence we both agreed on this name," says the thrilled mother. Gautami says she feels blessed as everything went off smoothly. "Aks weighs 3.2 kgs and although the delivery was via a caesarian, by God's grace we both are absolutely fine. I got discharged the next day only." "Though it's really very difficult to decide who he looks like as of now, I would rather say he looks very different. He's extremely fair and very lean; he's very different from how Sia (her daughter) used to look when she was born… She was very tall and very plump too," adds the beaming mother. After the delivery, Gautami is still staying at her place on Nepean Sea Road. Her mother who stays in Prabhadevi has moved in to help her. "I still drop Sia to school and escort her back home. She shouldn't feel neglected as she's too small to understand things". According to Gautami, she's not following any special diet nor is she exercising as of now. "I eat everything except spicy food. I don't go for a walk outside as my doctor has advised me not to go out for next 20 days but I do walk on my treadmill everyday." While Gautami is able to spend time at home with both her kids, hubby Ram is rushing from set to rehearsals. Ram is one of the contestants on the upcoming season of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. But that doesn't worry Mrs. Kapoor! "This is the busiest phase of Ram's career. He has to work hard for his shows but also wants to spend time at home too… but I am sure there won't be any problem as he will work out things. And most importantly, at this point of time I think I need my mom's help more than his and she is here to take care of both of us." And is she actually missing work? "Missing work now?" she exclaims, "Presently toh I don't even have time to breathe! But one thing I can tell you for sure is that I'll get back to work very soon as I am not a homely person." |
