Default Life Insurance Calculation in Infotype 168

how the cost gets calculated in infotype 168 in the cost tab.

The requirement is insurance cost should get calculated as per the Date of birth and age band.
I have set up the correct age bands cost rule.
The issue is as below.

Example : The employee's DOB: is 8-10-1969 turned 40 but the rate is still calculating at 39 age ie $4.85 and this should be $7.94

The age depends on the age basis (cut-off day) you have chosen in the Cost Variant.
You might want to choose an appropriate date which will give you the employee's age as 40.

1. Under the following Node, Check your age groups....
(SPRO ->Personal Management->Benefits- >Basic Settings -> Plan Attributes -> Define Employee Grouping-> Define Employee Criteria Groups -> Define Parameters Group >> Define Age Groups)

2. Under Insurance Plan ... Cost variant node... maintain the plan data with Age Group Parameter selected
SPRO ->Personal Management->Benefits- >Plans->Insurance Plans-> Define Cost Variants
3. Maintain the Cost Rules.
SPRO ->Personal Management->Benefits- >Plans->Insurance Plans-> Define Cost Rules

For sure, the Age groups is where you have maintained incorrect age group....or overlapped it...
i.e.

Age group Description Minimum Age Maximum Age
0029 00 - 29 yrs 29
3039 30 - 39 yrs 30 39
4099 40 - 99 yrs *39* 99

You might have incorrectly put the value 39 in the age group 4099.

The config is perfectly set. I am not really knowing where am i missing. The employee is attaining the age of 40 by august as per the date of birth. The cut off date set in config is 01 July.

Hence as per the cut off date set in system the employee is only 39 and the cost is getting calcuted correct. But if we look at the age of employee after july he is turning 40yrs and the cost should be as per age band 40 yrs. This issue is costs are getting under calculated.

Can you let me know is there a workaround to get the cost calculated basing on the date of birth..?
