It is impossible to hire and fire on the same day according to SAP methodology.
SAP does not allow two actions on the same day if they are changing the status of the employee (i.e. From Active to Withdrawn).
You need to make the employee work at least one day.

Are you saying:

1. You hire the person by mistake? In such case you can delete personnel number entirely - no impact to payroll, no impact to headcount reporting.

2. If this is legitimate hire of which you need to terminate the person, legally the person has come to work for at least one day. This is the reason why SAP does not allow hire and fire from happenning within a same day. IN a way, company is still liable to pay for the one day.

too bad i am not certified.

Yes,we can run 2 actions hiring and firing on a single day. for that check ur action type in t529a table. and check the boxes under - u(u0000,hiring action) and u(u0302,additional action).and for firing plz default feature msn20.and mention it in a same table t529a.

but u can not run both d action at a time. u have to rum both a actions separately.

Why would you want to hire and fire a person on the same day. First of all - it should not be allowed; as said earlier in thread - actions that change status cannot be carried out on same day. Secondly - the way SAP dates work, hiring and firing on same day in essense means the person was never hired.

Following is the scenario where hire and term happen on the same day.
We hire the employee with future dated hire date and the employee never shows up to work (Let us say the employee is a slariied employee.

Employee should not be paid even for that day. So inorder for us not be pay we need to term the employe on the same day.

We will run into the situation where it is not hire and fire. it is more to do with employee not showing up to work.

For the above example, if the person never showed up to work then they should not be in the system at all. If you have already entered the hire with the future date, you can just PU00 the PERNR and delete the record.
