Amitabh Bachchan will be seen playing Pop Philosopher in Bigg Boss’s upcoming third season, which starts on October 4.
Speaking about the show, the Bollywood superstar said, “It is about knowing someone’s mind or emotions – Will these truths change our relations, will they manage to stay together, will they accept each other’s weaknesses, will we get to see their real selves? What is our real face, what do our mates think about us, and do they show what they think? This show will give us answers to all these questions. After experiencing life for 66 years, I still think that mirror does not always tell you the truth. It only shows us what we want to see.”

Bigg Boss’s eye who keeps a watch on them will reveal all this. When I heard the concept of the show, I thought this is the show that will help us to know the answers to these questions. This is my thought, that these are some unresolved questions of life.”
During a press meet to talk about the show, the creative head of the Colors explained the reason for their choice of Amitabh.
“Bigg Boss had high TRPs right from when we launched it, so this time we wanted to make it bigger. Mr Bachchan will make it better; wherever his name is attached, it naturally becomes a hit.” He added, “It is a show of emotions, it actually goes into the minds of all housemates. The Pop Philosopher is the one who decodes all these emotions and monitor the acts inside the house. Millions of viewers will be able to relate to this. We wanted someone who could easily connect with everyone and hold the show together.” To this, Amitabh said, “I hope I live up all these expectations.”
Big B will be on the show every Friday and Saturday, while the show will air daily at 9pm.
