Default All about Mrinal’s money

Money. That's what drives everyone in the final analysis, whether in the glamour world of acting or the hard grind of scripting and producing. Cashin' In sits down with TV celebs to know well they handle their financial matters, and tracks their spending patterns.

Mrinal Deshraj considers herself lucky to have always been financially secure and sound. She hails from a well to do family and her acting career spanning six years has made her financially independent. Mrinal is content with whatever she has achieved in life and she claims to stay so no matter what the future has in store for her.
Here is Mrinal Deshraj talking money exclusively on .

How important is money for you?

Money is very important to lead a fulfilled life and who doesn’t want to live a fulfilled life?

Are you an impulsive buyer?

Yes. I often buy things impulsively. Currently I am shooting in Kolhapur and I have just bought nineteen pairs of shoes from here. I don’t know what I am going to do with them.
What are the investments you have made?
Property and land. I don’t understand other investments like shares, mutual funds, etc. My flat in Mumbai is my biggest investment.
What is your most expensive purchase?
My flat is my most expensive purchase. It is a spacious and plush house that I bought this year in January.
Do you feel financially secure?
Yes. I am a very secure person be it monetarily or emotionally. I never felt financially insecure because my family background is financially sound. I know that even if I don’t have work for a few days, my parents are there to support me financially.
Who handles your expenses?
I do that myself but I consult my family for the big expenses and investments.
What was your first salary? What you did with it?
My first salary was Rs. 1,500 per day for a stint in a serial title I love you around 5-6 years ago. I think I bought something for my mom and dad with that money.
How much money do you carry every day?
Depends. Sometimes I carry Rs. 200 and sometimes I carry 5,000. I avoid carrying much cash these days because my wallet has been robbed thrice from my car at the shoot.
Any advice for investors?
I feel that property and gold are the best investments. Gold is best when it comes to short term investments and property for long term investments.
