Default Personal retroactive accouting date v/s earliest retrocative accounting date

Hi Wiki,

Pls explain the statement " If the earliest Personal retroactive accouting date differs from the earliest retrocative accounting period then it will be backdated to the later date."

Thanks.

Use

The payroll usually runs for payroll accounting areas. Each payroll accounting area determines the specific dates for which the payroll runs, the earliest payroll period for which retroactive accounting is possible, retroactive accounting recognition, and the periods for which the payroll runs.

Last payroll period

Last payroll period.
Payroll Year

This field contains the year of the payroll period.
A payroll period is uniquely identified by the period modifier, the number of the payroll period and the payroll year.

Sort field for control record

This field stores the current payroll run.
You can run payroll accounting several times for each payroll period and area. This may be necessary if master data has been corrected. Each payroll run in a period increments the payroll number by one.

Earliest retroactive accounting period

Retroactive accounting in payroll can begin on the start date of this period at the earliest.
If changes relevant for retroactive accounting have been made before this date, the system does not take these into account in the current retroactive accounting run or in future retroactive accounting. However, the system triggers a retroactive accounting run up to this period.
Note

If the earliest personal retroactive accounting date differs from the earliest retroactive accounting period, then it will be backdated to the later date.

Hi

You can insert T if Shift planing implemented in your project.

Regarding B - Applicant data is about Recritments.

And otherwise tells about this Master Data (Payroll area)

A - Master Data and Time data, which a link for time data too like Master data and Shift planing so max time user Otherwise.

Thanks

1. "TCLAS - Transaction Class for Data Retention" under ABKRS
2. "A - Master Data and Time data" under TCLAS
3. "B - Applicant data" under TCLAS
4. T - Shift schedule under TCLAS

and why do we use "Otherwise" node and not node "A" which seems to be for Master data.

Thanks.

Hi

Dummy Payroll better to call YTD Payroll Area.

This comes when your client going live in mid-year say January (India payroll) in that case must need to maintain all Tax data...so load all data (Year to Date data) and then run the YTD Schema with YTD Payroll area so that all the YTD Data will store in CRT table which will useful to calculate TAX...

If you are going LIVE from first day of the Financial year so YTD is not need.

Hope you got it.

In this case the system will not go before the earlist retro date right? and thus the employees would not be paid for previous periods....

2. Do we need to run Dummy payroll only if we want to maintain Histroy?

Pls Explain
