TV actor, Yogesh Mahajan, known for 'Shiv Shakti', dies at 44
Television and Marathi film actor Yogesh Mahajan tragically passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 44. The actor, known for his role in the TV show Shiv Shakti Tap Tyag Tandav, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Yogesh was found unconscious in his flat in Umergaon, Gujarat, after he didn’t report for a scheduled shoot. He was rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The industry is in shock, with fans and co-stars mourning his untimely death. Actress Akangsha Rawat, who worked closely with him, said, “Yogesh had a great sense of humor and was full of energy. I can’t believe he is no longer with us.”

Yogesh is survived by his wife and seven-year-old son, who are deeply grieving this loss. His funeral will be held on January 20 at the Gorari-2 crematorium in Borivali West, Mumbai, near Pragati High School.

Mahajan was celebrated for his roles in Marathi films like Mumbaiche Shahane and Samsarachi Maya, earning a fair fanbase for his talent and charisma. His last role was that of Shukracharya, the guru of Daityas, Asuras, and Danavas in the television show Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav.
