Soon after resuming the shoot of the serial, the unit was caught in a piquant situation when seven of its crew members were not only diagnosed with COVID positive but one unfortunate worker succumbed to the virus in spite of utmost care by the producer. The shoot was immediately shut but very soon undeterred the unit bounced back and resumed shooting.

The entire crew was put to a rigorous test and the hygiene & safety standard was revisited and few more elements like daily 3Vitamins tablets for the entire crew, UV machine etc. Moreover, a special task force was set up along with the insurance co. to track and retrieve the insurance compensation of Rs. 25 lacs. Within less than a month the task force succeeded in getting the compensation of Rs. 25 lacs to the family of the deceased. This is a Covid record for insurance. The concern and the hard work put in by Bhakarwadi team and the insurance co.were exemplary.

There is still no cure for COVID 19 and plasma transfusion is the last treatment in critical cases. Instead of being disheartened by the disruption caused by the COVID attack, the Bhakarwadi unit struck back and vowed to attack the disease instead. Now the unit has entered into an arrangement with Kokilaben Ambani Hospital for Plasma donation by all the recovered unit members. The seven members who were affected by the COVID 19 have now recovered and rearing to help the others recover from the dreaded disease. They have decided to donate their blood plasma so that others may benefit. The lightning speed in getting the Insurance amount of 25 lacs is also encouraging and will make the workers little bold to tackle the menace of Covid. There has been quite a lot of shows that managed to actually make a good return to original programming post the lockdown period. Apart from the old regulars that we know and adore, a show like Bhakarwadi on Sab TV also made a roaring return being one of the performing shows for the channel apart from the likes of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Aladdin among others.

The show starring Deven Bhojani, Ak****a Mudgal, Bhakti Rathod, and Akshay Kelkar came back with a leap of seven years but unfortunately has struggled ever since.

Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga, which is currently on the 9 pm slot will now shift to the 9:30 pm slot that belonged to Bhakarwadi, and upcoming show Tera Yaar Hoon Main will come in on-air on the 9 pm slot. The news about any show going off-air is always disheartening even though it may or not be a popular show. But what probably hurts the most in this equation is when an actor, who has recently joined the show feels the pain of it going off-air inspite of just being days old in it.

That has been the exact case with actor Amit Dolawat, who made his entry in Sab TV's Bhakarwadi a couple of weeks ago. The show, as we know is all set to go off-air and talking about the same, here's what Dolawat mentioned in an interview with Bombay Times. Firstly, when asked if COVID-19 was the reason for the show shutting down, he said,“Not at all. It’s because of the change in programming — they have three shows lined up. I have no complaints about the makers, and can vouch for their generosity and sensitivity. This is my third show with them. Even in these circumstances, when the show is ending, I have seen them helping the workers and their families. They have gone out of their way to get Rs 25 lakh sanctioned for the person who unfortunately lost his life.”

Talking about the abrupt end, he said, “Of course, it is disheartening when a show ends two weeks after your entry. Everyone wishes for a long and successful innings when they join a project. At the same time, I feel blessed to at least have got an opportunity to step out and work, albeit briefly, after this forced break. I came back with a double role, even if it was only for two weeks. Something is better than nothing. I take this development in my stride and am looking forward to many more opportunities in the future. I am grateful that I shot in a safe environment and returned home safe.”
He concluded saying, “I am sure that the makers take note of good performers. Now, I have gone a notch higher in terms of proving my versatility and craft as an actor. I am sure that people have taken a note of it.” - We hope so too.
