Apples: Apples are stuffed with nutrients like vitamin A, C, E, K and folate. This fruit is also free of fat and can help in fighting constipation. Drink apple juice to get rid of constipation.


Beans and Legumes: Legumes like chickpeas, soybeans, lentils, navy beans, and kidney beans are great sources of fiber which are considered good in fighting constipation. But be careful as beans and legumes can put you into a trouble of having gas. Also, if you have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) then these foods may worsen the situation.



Lemon juice: Lemon contains citric acid and acts as a stimulant in your digestive system. This flushes out toxins from your body providing you relief from constipation. You can squeeze lemon in hot water or lukewarm water and also add some honey for better results.


Prunes: These are rich in fibre and a go-to remedy for getting your digestion back on track. They also comprise of a phenolic compound that triggers the intestinal contraction that makes you want to use the washroom.
