Here's a look at the fresh cast and premiere date: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is set to take an exciting leap. With just a few days to go, the makers have finally revealed the new faces which will appear as leads post leap. Not just that, they have also released the premiere date. The show will premiere on 27th October at 9.30 pm.
First Episode: Akshara (Pranali Rathod) is seen at a shopping stall in the market. She picks a stole for herself which her sister Arohi (Karishma Sawant) likes on herself better. Akshara agrees with her and gives it to her. In the next scene, they are seen going to the edge of a cliff. It's a place where all wishes are fulfilled. Abhimanyu (Harshad Chopda) joins them. Arohi wishes to be with him for life. Akshara prays for Arohi's wish to be fulfilled. It is not shown what Abhimanyu desires. Take a look at the promo: Clearly, Akshara's shown to be the one with the bigger heart and Arohi as not the most generous one. The conflicting love interests of the three are going to make up for the new plot. A few days ago, it was reported that Harshad and Pranali were busy shooting in Udaipur. No confirmation was given by the actors officially. But now the cat is out of the bag and the new promo is going to keep the loyal viewers of the daily soap in anticipation. Meanwhile, Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi, who played Kartik and Naira in the show, bid an emotional goodbye. They were a part of the daily soap for more than five years. The actors expressed their gratitude to Rajan Shahi, the producer of the show, for casting them and the beautiful journey.
Mohsin Khan, who had been playing the role of Kartik for the past five years, wrapped up the show's shoot. He shot for the show one last time October 12 the star cast and unit from the last day of his shoot. Mohsin got immense love for the role of Kartik. The actor was seen shooting with his on-screen father and chacha (uncle) in the show. Sachin Tyagi plays Manish Goenka (Kartik's dad) in the show.
Yeh Rishta's Kartik to die: In the show, Mohsin's character Kartik will pass away paving way for the new generation to now take over the show which has been running since 2009. The good-looking actor, who starred in many popular shows became a household name after playing Kartik.
The show is going to take another leap and Mohsin didn't want to age on screen. Shivangi Joshi will also be seen bidding adieu to the show. Kaira pose for the last time His chemistry with Shivangi was loved by his fans. They were fondly named as 'Kaira' by their fans.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s new love story of Kartik and Sirat is just too adorable. Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi make us fall in love with their performance every day. Kartik has now confessed his love for Sirat and we cannot wait for some lovey-dovey moments. In the recent episode, we saw Kairav imagining Kartik and Sirat as Krishna and Radha. Kartik manages to get bail for Sirat and stops the police from taking her to jail. This becomes the breaking news which the Goenkas watch from their homes. Ranveer's father, too, breaks the television set in rage. Kartik's relationship with Sirat is questioned by the media. Sirat is held responsible for Ranveer's death. Kartik comes to her defence and clarifies that he is good friends with Sirat and will remain so. He promises to get Sirat out of the case and prove her innocence.
Kartik and Sirat perform Mauri's last rites where she breaks down. Sirat recalls her time with Mauri and cries inconsolably. Kartik takes her back home, this time not to the Goenka house but a home that he had bought with Naira. He asks her to stay there.
Goenkas begin with the wedding anniversary celebrations.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (transl. What is this relationship called?) is an Indian television soap opera that airs on Star Plus and streams on Hotstar.
It premiered on 12 January 2009 and is the second longest running Indian television soap opera.
Produced by Rajan Shahi under Director's Kut Productions, it initially starred Hina Khan and Karan Mehra and currently stars Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan.
In March 2019, a spin-off, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, starring Rhea Sharma and Shaheer Sheikh was launched which ended in October 2020 completing 355 episodes.

Kartik and Naira’s grand wedding was always used to grab back the audience with their fairy tale romance. After Naira’s death track same happened with Kartik and Sirat. Kartik and Sirat’s wedding plot was also very twisted to keep the viewers intact to see their favourite couple back together, hence stretching the story
Loosing its originality: Starting off with portrayal of nice family problems and genuine drama, the show has scooped down to the typical saas-bahu drama in order to add ‘spice’ and keep the audience intact somehow. The sweet innocent Akshara keeping the family together to the drama by the Goenka’s and several marriages of different characters on the show time and again, the show has become more of a dram house than a loved family show. It has lost original identity in order to remain on screen for the longest time.
Unrealistic Story Lines: Though Indian drama soaps are too dramatic and unrealistic at times, but time and again YRKKH has bought up plots that seemed to be fully detached from the real world. Tracks like Akshara’s blind sight coming back to normal, Sirat’s career as a professional boxer, Naira pretending to be dead for over five years and rejoining the family are a few storylines that seem to be more dramatic than realistic. Extending several plots just to stretch the number of episodes have resulted in unrealistic scenarios in the show.
Repetitive Plot: YRKKH has been following repetitive plots and it has been no secret from anyone. From Kartik-Naria’s numerous separation tracks to gain back the TRPs to Naira and Kartik’s journey of parenthood, the stories have been very similar. Kartik and Naira’s parenthood ride was pretty similar to one that was showcased for Naitik and Akshara with the five-year leap, losing of babies, abortion, etc. the show has again proven to be stretchy rather being original.
Frequent replacement of actors: Actors quitting the show and others replacing them is quite common, however in a long family running show like YRKKH, audiences get quite used to the characters and actors who are playing the role. Several replacements for Naksh like first Rohan Mehra, then Rishi Dev, and then Shehzad Shaikh. For a lead character like Naitik, post Karan Mehra quoting the show, Vishal Singh was bought in while Modena Singh who played the role of Kirti Goenka was replaced by Harsha Khandeparkar. Gayu aka Gayatri Singhania was replaced not once but twice. From Kanchi Singh to Deblina Chatterjee to Simran Khanna.
Numerous Leaps: Leaps are important for any show, particularly an Indian daily soap. But YRKKH has taken many leaps. Several leaps with intervals like Naksh-Naira grown-up, Kartik-Naira’s leap for Mumbai track, yet again leap for Naira’s death track, so on and so forth. It’s been noticed that as soon as the story line weakens, a leap is taken and a similar plotline is showed with a twist or an extension of incidents before the leap is portrayed, hence stretching the story.

In 2019, On Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai's completion of 10 years, a spin-off series, "Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke", premiered on 18 March 2019 starring Rhea Sharma and Shaheer Sheikh. The series portrayed the life of Naman and Karishma's daughter and Naira's younger step cousin Mishti, portrayed by Sharma alongside Abir portrayed by Sheikh.
A special segment named Rishton Ka Utsav aired from 26 November 2018 to 5 December 2018 where Kartik and Naira organize a unique festival which brings all generations with most of the family members of the show through all these years come together and celebrate their reunion. This segment also marked the entry of Deblina Chatterjee as Gayatri Deora replacing Kanchi Singh who quit the show in 2017.
From 2011 to 2015, the show was dubbed as Uravugal Thorarkadhai in Tamil on Star Vijay and as Pellante Noorella Panta in Telugu on Star Maa, both being discontinued after airing more than 1000 episodes.In 2017, the show was dubbed in Malayalam under the title Akkareyanente Maanasam 2 on Asianet Plus and also in Tamil as Uravugal Thodarkadhai 2 on Star Vijay Super from episode 2075, but were discontinued within few months.
The series airs internationally as Not Without My Family on Star Life. It airs in ANTV as Yeh Rishta in Indonesia. In Pakistan it aired in Urdu 1 channel. However it was terminated after the airing of Indian series were banned there.

Shivangi Joshi was born in Pune, Maharashtra and she rose to fame with her character Naira in Star Plus' famous show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for which she won many accolades. Shivangi made her Television debut in 2013 where the portrayed the role of Nisha in the serial, Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi. She also featured in Colors TV popular show Beintehaa. In 2014, she was stared in Love By Chance and in 2015, she was seen in & TV's Begusarai.

Mohsin Khan was born and brought up in Nadiad, Gujarat and he started off his acting career with several advertisements and as cameos and parallel leads. He was also seen in the same role in the show's spin off Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke.

Shivangi Joshi Shoots for Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata Hai Amid the Lockdo

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the government has announced a lockdown of 21 days in India. As we reported earlier, the shooting of shows has been stalled due to the pandemic. While many channels are repeating the telecast of the shows, a few of them are airing old shows. And we have already reported about Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke actors - Mohsin Khan and Shaheer Sheikh who have found a unique way to shoot for the episodes amid the lockdown. The latest we hear is that Shivangi Joshi aka Naira too is shooting during the lockdown. Shivangi who is currently in Dehradun and spending with her dear family is having a good time shooting for her show as well. When asked Shivangi she told, "Yes I have been shooting for my show Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata Hai even during this lockdown phase.

However, the twist in the tale is that we are self-recording our portions and submitting it to the creative team for feedback. Since I am in Dehradun and I did not know about this earlier, I am using my sister's clothes to shoot my portions. My Bhaiya and Bhabhi are my DOP and I trust them as they are good with their work. I can't exactly count how many hours I dedicate to shoot each day but have been religiously doing it past few days. The makers have thought of this idea of self-shoot which no other shows are doing and we are hopeful that it will help us in future days. Also, the self-quarantine time is being effectively utilized to spend quality time at home as well as continue shooting for Yeh Rishta in our own style and way".
