Default Priyanka Mishra In Zee TV's Chhoti Bahu

Zee TV’s upcoming family drama, Chhoti Bahu has Priyanka Mishra playing the role of Vishaka. The young actress asserts that the new show is different from all the other regular shows on television in the sense that the relationship between the three principal characters is not a love triangle.

The story revolves around Radhika (Rubina), Dev (Avinash Sachdev) and Vishaka. “I don’t love Dev, who only loves Radhika, but still end up entering the house as the Chhoti Bahu due to some confusion. I can’t reveal anything more than this, as it will unravel the suspense”, says this Lucknowi lass.

Giving an insight on her character, Priyanka says, “She is a very modern girl with few gray shades. She comes from a orthodox Vrindavan based family; hence she uses her adopted elder sister (Radhika) to do things that her pandit father does not allow her to do.”

This DJ’s presentation is Priyanka’s fourth performance on television and she was earlier seen in Sai Baba and Bhabhi. “I played a positive lead character in one of the stories of the former Star Plus show that was based on the life of the saint, Sai Baba. I entered Bhabhi as the main protagonist’s sister, which was another positive role”, quips Priyanka.

Apart from Chhoti Bahu, the damsel is also seen in COLORS' Jai Shri Krishna. “I am playing Lord Krisna’s mother, Devaki, in the show”, says she. So won’t it be difficult juggling between two dailies? “Yes, it will, but I need hardly about 6-8 days for Krishna as currently my character is in jail. And right now I am playing the mother of Lord Krishna in his bal avatar. And there are chances that I might opt out of the show as it progresses to showing an older Krishna”, she concludes.
