Default Season 2: Amazon Prime Web Series Mirzapur 1, 2, 3 (Star Cast, All Seasons, All Episodes, Controversies, Unknown Facts)

Latest Update, News on Season 2:
  • Mirzapur Season 2 delivers on its promise – which is living up to the hype and engaging the viewers. The show has had a lot of criticism and divided opinions too. For example, I also wasn’t a total fan of the first season but was still engaged. I am pleasantly surprised by how engaged I am with Season 2 and left willing to see more. Rating - **** (4/5)
Story, About the Web Series:
  • Picking up right where it ended (almost), we already know how Guddu (Ali Fazal), Dimpy (Har****a Gaur) and Golu (Shweta Tripathi Sharma) are the last survivors of Mirzapur’s version of The Red Wedding.
  • From the trailer, we also already know that there is just one thing on their mind – Revenge.
  • On the other hand, Munna (Divyendu) and Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) are dealing with newer problems in their business with the absence of Guddu and Bablu (Vikrant Massey).
  • Mirzapur is a new world now with fewer characters but the new additions are indeed enough to keep the ball rolling. Loved ones might have exited but new characters have been seamlessly added into the mix.
  • Even a character like Sharad (Anjum Sharma) who barely had two scenes in Season 1 is now in the central focus for Season 2.
  • That is one of the first victories for Season 2 where albeit you will miss your loved characters but you will be engrossed in the new ones as well.
Star Cast & Crew:
With a stellar ensemble cast featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal , Divyenndu Sharma, Shweta Tripathi Sharma , Rasika Dugal , Har****a Shekhar Gaur , Amit Sial, Anjum Sharma, Sheeba Chaddha, Manu Rishi Chadha and Rajesh Tailang returning to the action-packed series, get ready for a journey into the stylish yet rustic world, where crime, drugs and violence rule and one needs to fight to survive. The sequel of the show will also feature Vijay Varma, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Isha Talwar. The much awaited Amazon Original Series is created and produced by Excel Media and Entertainment and will launch exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories worldwide.

Telecast/ Repeat Telecast, Digital OTT:
  • Mirzapur season 2 will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video in 200 countries and territories, in multiple Indian languages, including Hindu, Telugu and Tamil.
TOP 10 Unknown Facts:
  • Soon
TOP 10 Interesting Facts, Controversies:
  • The first season starts with Munna in a wedding shootout and ends with Munna in a wedding shootout. The only difference is that Munna is on the opposite side of the gun. Hence, life comes a full circle for him.
  • In both the first and last episodes of the first season, Munna ****s the groom in a wedding.
Negative Reviews:
  • Coming to the performances - I don’t know whether it was always intentional but the biggest positive of second season is the women of Mirzapur not only getting more focus but also have intriguing character arcs to work with. For instance, the likes of Dimpy and Golu were important in Season 1 but barely had anything else to do. This time, they are literally in the mix of things and both actors, (Gaur and Tripathi respectively) do a fine job. Especially Tripathi – she gets new nuances to play with Golu and she is brilliant in her attempt.
  • Even the other women like Beena (Rasika Dugal), Guddu-Bablu’s mother (Sheeba Chadha) and even Zarina (Anagsha Biswas) have so much to play around with. (Imagine how interesting it will be in the further episodes that involve Meghna Malik and Isha Talwar too).
Positive Reviews:
  • Season 2 delivers on its biggest promise – engagement. Apart from that even though the fans already know what intensity of violence is the show capable of but just a reminder – it is as crazy as it has been earlier, and in fact, it gets more gory and graphic this time around.
  • And finally the men of Mirzapur – Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu and Ali Fazal are fine performers and literally no reminder is needed for that. As the faces of the show and as the complex characters they play, they not only shine again but manage to make you feel that it was only yesterday you finished watching Mirzapur Season 1. There is a scene in which Fazal’s Guddu is struggling to get up and even handle his crutches as he is terribly wounded – and all he is trying to do is walk a meter or so and pick a gun. The entire scene is wordless but Fazal’s expressions of the pain and anguish are so real you forget he is only acting.

Review: Mirzapur Season 2 (SPOILER-FREE)

Rating-**** (4/5) The second season of arguably India’s most popular web show, Mirzapur has finally arrived and while all the fans are already planning on their bingeing plans, this review might help you to get an idea of what to expect. As always, it is SPOILER-FREE.

Quoting Munna Bhaiya (or Guddu Bhaiya) from Mirzapur – “bhaukaal macha diye ho, bhaukaal” That would in itself be apt to be representing the sheer hype and immense anticipation that Mirzapur Season 2 had. Amazon Prime series Mirzapur became a huge hit amongst the fans and ever since, the viewers are waiting for season 2 of the gangster drama. The first season of the show had a cliffhanger ending and since then the viewers are brewing with excitement to watch the second season of the show. The second season of Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey starrer is all set to premiere later this year. Actor Priyanshu Painyuli who was recently seen in Chris Hemsworth starrer Extraction, will soon be seen in Pankaj Tripathi's gangster drama Mirzapur 2. He will play a vital role in the series. A source informs, "Given the interest around Mirzapur, the team keeps a strict diktat of not letting character details out because it’s important to the show’s narrative. But Priyanshu will be a part of Mirzapur this season. It’s an elaborate character that spills over to Season 3 as well."

The source added, "The first season ended with the death of many old characters. So the new season inevitably widens its horizons and explores more tracks and subtracts of the larger narrative. Priyanshu shot for the show last August in Benaras. It’s a cracker of an ensemble cast and the actor can’t wait to speak about it once the final announcement on Season 2 comes in from Amazon." Default Pankaj Tripathi Finally Binge- Watches 'Mirzapur'

Amid lockdown, actor Pankaj Tripathi is finally watching his own show "Mirzapur", where he essayed the role of the deadly gangster Kaleen bhaiya. The actor says he has realised the beauty of binge-watching.

"When you are shooting, you know the storyline and the subplots but you are focussed on your part. I had loved the universe of the show right from the first narration but watching it as an audience, I realised the beauty of binge-watching," Pankaj said.

He added: "I would wonder why people don't want to savour and watch one episode at a time. But, ‘Mirzapur' takes on such a ride and ends each episode at such a point that you feel compelled to go for the next episode." Pankaj, who essays gangster Kaleen bhaiya in the show, says he is now realising how well the team has done while watching the show during the lockdown.

"I knew we had made a special show but now when I finally view it in its entirety, free from the pressure of work, and completely at leisure, I see how well we did. I hope the audience loves our second season even better," he said. On the acting front, the actor will return to the big screen in Kabir Khan's "83".
