The Janata Curfew was a huge success in India and people did not stepped out of their homes to combat deadly pandemic COVID-19. PM Narendra Modi appealed all citizens to stay home and urged people to stand in their balcony or house main doors and clap as a sign of respect for emergency workers who are working despite the pandemic and risking their lives.

Now, from politicians to Bollywood celebrities to common public, everyone stood at their balcony at 5pm to ring bell, clap hands and banging utensils and playing honche to pay their gratitude.

Talking about COVID-19, at present, there are over 324 active cases in India. To contain the rapid spread of the virus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called for a Janata Curfew on Sunday. All States are observing partial to full shutdown. The 38-year-old Bihar man had returned from Qatar and was tested positive. This is the first death reported from Bihar. Another patient is undergoing treatment at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital.
