Indian Idol 12: Team starts shooting for final round of auditions

Indian Idol 12 is likely to go on-air by the end of this month and the team has kickstarted Day 1 of their shoot today, in Mumbai's Film City.



Indian Idol 12 will see the trio of Himesh Reshammiya, Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar return to the chair as the judges of the show. They have now kickstarted the final round of auditons for the show in Film City and in fact, some also shared glimpses of the first day shoot. Vishal Dadlani took to social media as he informed fans about 'Day 1' of their shoot while Neha too, shared some photos on her Instagram story as she expressed her excitement regarding the show.

Meanwhile, given the COVID-19 situation, extra precautions are being taken on the sets and everyone has undergone coronavrus tests before entering the sets while following social distancing and fewer crew members. As has been reported by Indianexpress, the final round of auditions has a lot of contestants and it was necessary to quarantine and test them before kickstarting the show. They were flown to the city and were placed under self-quarantine.

Meanwhile, Aditya Narayan will turn host for Indian Idol 12 once again, and after the digital rounds of auditions, the on-set auditions have now finally begun. The show is likely to go on-air sometime later this month and fans are excited to see what's in store for them this season!

Indian Idol 2020: Rohanpreet thanks wife Neha Kakkar for getting him on such a big stage; the latter gets emotional and cries




Singing reality show Indian Idol 2020 has been entertaining everyone. The show is back with another season and is doing well on the TRPs charts as well. In the upcoming weekend Indian Idol 12 episode, audience will get to see the presence of Bollywood’s dream girl – Hema Malini.
The veteran actress will make a grand entry, which will be lauded by the audience and everyone present on the set. Indian Idol 12 is making sure to keep the love for music alive in today’s time. Watching the contestant’s performances gives the judges and viewers goosebumps and the contestants also make sure not to let the audience or judges down.
To make the musical weekend better this week, Indian idol invited the ace musical director duo Ajay and Atul.

Danish gave a roaring and soul touching performance on the songs Deva Shree Ganesha and Ishaqbaazi. His performance made everyone on the set give chills as his performance took everyone into a soothing zone.

Neha Kakkar also get very emotional while watching Danish performance and said: "I am a believer of God and I think whatever I have achieved in my life, I have a lot to thank God for it. Your performance mesmerized me, and I was in totally different zone. Keep it up and keep shining.”

Post receiving the gesture, the talented singer Danish said, “I am very fortunate to receive this special gesture from such an ace music director. Deva Shree Ganesh used to be my first song when I started singing in jagrata and post this song the energy of the crowd and mine and automatically double.”

Anu Malik on returning to 'Indian Idol 12' but as a guest

Music composer and singer Anu Malik has been a name that has been synonymous with Indian Idol over the years. Many other judges have come in and went away but Malik has always been a constant for the show.
However, owing to a few MeToo allegations and a few female singers calling out the show for continuing to have Malik on board as a judge, a decision was taken. The decision had Malik having to quit Indian Idol 11 midway and not returning for the 12th season.
But now it will be homecoming for him as he will be coming on as a guest along with Udit Narayan and Sameer. Talking about it with ETimes TV, he said, "I have been a part of the show for so many years, so it felt like homecoming when I was invited for the 90s special episode. I feel the talent this season is the best of all seasons and they sang all my popular songs. I had a great time being a part of the show I used to judge." When asked if he misses judging the show and hopes to return someday, he said, "I don't think of the future. The makers gave me an opportunity to judge the show for many seasons, but as of now I am happy being a guest."
While the allegations put on him are yet to find a conclusion, Malik is still and won't soon be a part of the reality show regularly.

While praising him, AR Rahman said, "You are a born talent and a great performer with superior voice tone." Himesh Reshammiya added, "After this performance, Ashish, I must say that you are a sure shot finalist. Because, the sort of songs which you have sung are difficult."
Replying to them, Ashish said, "I feel blessed to get so much love and praise from all of you. I would like to request you A R Rahman sir that I have a cassette of Taal which my father gave me during my childhood. This is amongst the first music songs which I have listened to while growing up. I would like to request you to sign on behalf of my father who is an ardent fan of your music. He motivated and helped me to be a singer like you."
