Redmi 10 Prime has been launched in India. The device is a successor to the Redmi 9 Prime that was launched in August last year and brings in a number of upgraded features. It is also the first phone to launch in the country to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. Here we will be taking a close look at the new smartphone and all of its features.

Redmi 10 Prime launched in India

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has launched its latest Redmi 10 Prime smartphone in India. It appears to be a tweaked version of the Redmi 10, which launched globally last month. The device comes with a 90Hz display, MediaTek Helio G88 SoC and a 6,000mAh battery.

Redmi 10 Prime: Price in India

Redmi 10 Prime is priced at Rs 12,499 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant and at Rs 14,499 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant. The device will be made available in Astral White, Bifrost White, and Phantom Black colour options. It will be made available via Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Mi Studios, and major retail outlets across the country starting September 7

Redmi 10 Prime features a 6.5-inch full HD display with a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate and a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9

Redmi 10 Prime: Processor, RAM, storage

Redmi 10 Prime is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC paired with the ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The device is offered in two RAM/storage combinations, the first being the 4GB RAM/64GB storage model and the 6GB RAM/128GB storage model. There is also support for RAM expansion for up to 2GB.

Redmi 10 Prime: Software, battery

Redmi 10 Prime runs Google's Android 11 operating system with the company's own MIUI 12.5 skin on top. All of this is backed by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging using the bundled 22.5W charger and up to 9W reverse charging.

Redmi 10 Prime: Cameras

Redmi 10 Prime sports a quad-camera setup on the back consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. At the front, it features an 8-megapixel sensor for taking selfies.
