Lucknow's Kuldeep Singh bid adieu to the Indian Idol platform this week. A sad and depressed Kuldeep says that while he is upset at going out, he can’t forget the experience he has enjoyed.
"I was completely shocked to know that I got eliminated as I didn't expect this… I sang pretty well last week and all the judges except Anuji appreciated my singing too," says the boy who expected Remo or Torsha to get eliminated.
Kuldeep says the judges also didn’t respond to his going out – something that is disturbing to him.
"They didn't say anything… unka koi reaction nahi tha," replies the heartbroken Singh, "Main kisi ka favourite nahi tha… shaayad isliye mujhe kisine kuch offer nahi kiya."
According to Kuldeep, some problem with the code number might be the reason behind his ouster.
"Telecast ke waqt code number mein problem thi… mera code number 04 tha aur telecast ke time wahaan 07 display hua. Shaayad uski wajah se voting mein problem hui hogi," he says.
When it comes to winning, the Lucknow lad feels that either Bhavya or Prasenjit deserve to win as both of them have an amazing voice quality.
The Indian Idol journey has been a memorable on for Singh. "Indian Idol has been full of ups and downs. I've always got mile-jule comments from the judges. What is cherishing is the support of the audience and the judges," says Kuldeep, "I've been doing stage shows for 18 years now. With Indian Idol, I've become a good performer too.”
Kuldeep is from Bandha, U.P. Apart from singing, he can play 11 musical instruments including the Tabla, Guitar, Congo and Flute.
