About the show:

• Divya Drishti(Trans.Divine Sight) is an Indian supernatural drama television series which aired from 23 February 2019 to 23 February 2020 on Star Plus.^[2] Produced under Fireworks Productions, it starred Sana Sayyad, Nyra Banerjee, Sangita Ghosh, Adhvik Mahajan and Mishkat Varma.

Story:

• Divya Drishti is a supernatural thriller about two estranged sisters -One sis can see the future with her third eye and other sister can change the future, However, the show witnesses a twist as Sachini, an evil tries to hunt the sisters for using their powers. Later in the show, the sisters get separated and is now adopted with by different families. Years later as the duo unites, they plan to **** Sachini but they find themselves in the midst of another predicament as Sachini's soul enters Divya's body. The continuous twists and tales in the serial makes it an interesting watch for the audience. The show airs on Star Plus and it streams on Hotstar.

Unknown Facts:

• Originally, the series was planned for 52 episodes and to end in July 2019. But, a good response for it gave an extension and it ended on 23 February 2020 completing 106 episodes.
• In October 2019, The Times of India criticised the ongoing track then stating: "Divya-Drishti’s storyline is crossing all boundaries of bizarreness. This storyline is full of essence which is just opposite of what we expect from a thriller show. We can just wait and hope to witness something very thrilling in the show, something more real than just mere naivety.
• Ratings, Divya Drishti was the seventh most watched Hindi urban television show in its debut week (week 9 of 2019) in India, reaching a TRP of 1.9. In week 45, it was at fourteenth position with 4.32 million impressions with trp of 1.7. Since its premiere, the show has maintained its position in the top 20 most-watched Hindi shows.
• Crossover, Nazar and Divya Drishti had a collaboration where Mohana portrayed by Monalisa from Nazar entered the show Divya Drishti teaming up with Pishachini portrayed by Sangita Ghosh for a sequence

Rati made her television debut with Zee TV's Shaadi Street and also acted in Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai, where she played a character called Prarthna. Rati Pandey then gained popularity by playing the role of Nupur on Miley Jab Hum Tum. By the end of Season 1 her character was dead but she was brought back on the show, which ended in November. Rati Pandey participated in the popular dance show Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan. Rati was highly appreciated for her double role in Zee TV's celebrated show Hitler Didi which made her won many accolades.




Sangeeta Ghosh appeared with a fresh look in 'Rabba Ho Ishq Na Hove ', the serial that generated a lot of curiosity. Essaying the role of an airhostess, Sangeeta is tracked by a silent admirer. In Nach Baliye, she had a nice time Shabir, as an anchor. She is playing the role of Priyanka in Viraasat, on Star One.

Star Plus’ Divya Drishti To Go 'Off Air' On The Day It Went 'On-Air'!

Star Plus’ supernatural drama Divya Drishti starring Sana Sayyad, Nyra Banerjee, Adhvik Mahajan, Sangita Ghosh and Mishkat Varma in prominent roles is all set to go off air. The show which was earlier supposed to be a finite series, got an extension last year due to good TRP and popularity.

Well, the makers have now finally decided to pull the plug on the show after much deliberation. Interestingly, the show which went on-air on 23rd February last year will be going off-air on the same date this year. Advik Mahajan who is seen playing the role of Rak**** in the show spoke to Bombay Times and said, “It’s a strange coincidence that the first episode of the show was telecast on February 23, 2019 and the last episode, too, will air on the same date a year later. I consider it to be a good omen. Our show was a finite series of six months, but it ran for a year owing to the positive feedback. So, we are ending on a high note rather than dragging on the story. I am going to miss the cast and crew, who have become family to me. 'Divya Drashti' has given me a lot. In my struggle of 10 years, I have learnt that your hard work pays off if you are talented, patient and persistent.” A few days ago, actress Sangita Ghosh quit the show saying that her character had nothing new to offer now.

Against several odds, Star Plus' show Divya Drishti managed to run for quite a while on-air and one of the prime reasons for the same was the performance of actor Sangeeta Ghosh, who tried something new for the first time in he career. However, the show's run is all set to be over as the show is going off-air by 23rd February 2020. And while the cast and crew were initially understandably emotional about the same, they decided to part away on a happy note. The cast went on to enjoy an amazing party which included majority members and needless to say, everybody was all smiles about the same- Divya Drishti, as we know is a supernatural drama TV series that aired back in February 2019 and is now going off-air exactly a year after. Apart from Sangeeta Ghosh, the show starred Sana Sayyad, Nyra Banerjee, Sangita Ghosh, Adhvik Mahajan and Mishkat Varma in important roles.
