• The finale episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 begins with Antara Mitra's musical performance on Kesariya, Sreeram Chandra's musical performance on Deva Deva and Shilpa Rao brings them all together. • The quiz-based show Kaun Banega Crorepati got its first Crorepati in Kavita Kaushik. However, she failed to answer the Rs 7.5 crore question and took home Rs 1crore. She wisely used the audience poll for the 1 crore question and managed to get the right answer. Host and megastar Big B appreciated her for the same.

Chawla, who went on to become the reality quiz show's first 'crorepati' this season, said in her answer to him that she was once earning Rs 20 a day once and now, using her intelligence, she was getting that substantial amount in a matter of just a few hours. The makers have added an extra question after Rs 50 lakh – Rs 75 lakh and contestant Dhulichand is the first one to reach the level. The promo from the upcoming episode released by the makers gives a glimpse of it.

Amitabh Bachchan stood up and saluted her for her courage. After winning Rs 40,000, Major DP Singh took the place of Col Mitali on the hot seat. • The 14th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati is all set to premiere on August 7 and many special guests are going to grace the hot-seat. Alongside Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, Kargil War veteran Major D.P Singh, Col. Mitali Madhumita (first woman officer in the Indian Army) to win Sena Medal Gallantry, Padma Vibhushan sportsperson MC Mary Kom, and Padma Shri Sunil Chhetri (Footballer) will be present.

About the Season 14: New Rules

• Fastest finger first with 10 contestants to make it to the hot-seat.
  
• The rules and the new changes in the format of the game. Of the known format, Big B added the contestants, who will win Rs. 1 crore will get a car alongside the prize money.
  
• Rs. 7.5 crore winner will also take home a car, but of another variety.
• The game this season will once again have 3 lifelines instead of 4. Originally, when the show premiered, it had 3 lifelines and ‘Ask the expert’ lifeline was added from season 4. This season will be devoid of the ‘Ask the expert’ lifeline. And instead of ‘Phone a friend’ lifeline, the makers have tweaked it to ‘Video call a friend’. Of 3 pre-given contacts by the contestants, they can select one person to seek help from in case they get stuck in the game.
  
• The lifeline for a question and while the call drops after 60 secs to lock the answer, the person on the video call gets to stay until the answer is revealed.
  
• Apart from these additions and changes, it was previously known that if a contestant fails to answer Rs 7.5 crore, he/she will atleast take home Rs 75 lakh unlike in previous seasons, where the prize money would drop down to Rs. 3.20 lakh.
  
• The show will now have a new slot of Rs. 75 lakh will bring alive the enthusiasm of 75 years of Independence in the show as well.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 14: Ajay Devgn's film Tanhaji helped Harsh Poddar from Delhi to answer this Rs 50,00,000 question

• Brij Kishor Singh, from Surat, a diamond cutter. He had won Rs 1,60,000 in the previous episode and Big B presented the question for Rs 3,20,000 which he failed to answer and came directly down to Rs 10,000. Big B read out, Which of these cities is well-known as a hub of the International diamond industry? Brij Kishor used his second lifeline 50-50 but could not guess the right answer. The correct answer was: Option C, Antwerp, Belgium.
• After Brij Kishor Singh made an exit from the show, Big B played yet another round of Fastest Finger First and Harsh Poddar from Delhi made it to the hot seat. While welcoming him to the show, Mr Bachchan revealed this is the first on the show that a contestant has got all the three questions right in less span of time. The 35 year old is in the business of medical supplies after belonging to a family of doctors and having a wife, who is a dentist. During his introduction, the contestant spoke about how he got into the business of medical supplies after coming from a family of doctors. He also talked about his father who guided his way to the business model and helped clear his doubts.
• Mr Bachchan then resumed the game with Harsh Poddar. The first question for Rs 1000 which Harsh faced was an image question. According to a Hindi proverb, which animal's tail does not become straight? He chose A) Image option A and got it correct. After answering the next few questions, he reached the first Padhaav of Rs 10,000. Which of these deliveries is also called a 'bumper'? He chose C) Bouncer and cleared the first hurdle.

The correct answer was A) Orca.
• Big B then chats with Harsh about his marital life and he shares whenever he's happy or returns from work happy, his wife, but before he could complete the statement, Big B takes over and says, “Today you are smiling too much who did you meet". Harsh quickly asks Big B “Arey sir does this happen with you too?” Big replies saying “Sir it's a universal truth." He further shares a few incidents and the host and the audience laugh their hearts out.

Kaun Banega Crorepati 14: Take a look at the Rs 50 lakhs question that contestant Prakyath was unable to answer

Contestant Prakyath has been playing quite well and has won Rs 5000. Big B further asks him more questions and he answers them correctly.

Big B further goes on to ask the sixth question which was a video question from the movie Om Shanti Om. The question was:

After seeing the video and the options Prakyath asks Big B to select option B and wins Rs 20,000

Big further goes on to ask the eighth question for Rs 80,000 and the question was:

Since contestant Prakyath is unsure about the question he asks for the second lifeline 50:50 and the two wrong options are removed and option A and B are on the screen. Prakyath selects option A and wins Rs 80,000

Big B recites the second padhav question for Rs 3,20,000 and the question was:

Prakyath asks Big B to lock option A after giving a proper reasoning for the answer and He wins Rs 3,20,000 and also gets his first cheque. He further asks Big B to show the cheque to his mother after signing it.

Contestant Prakyath further gears up to answer the teeth question for Rs 12, 50, 000 and the question was:

Prakyath asks to lock option B and eventually he gets it correct and wins Rs 12,50,000.

Prakyath says that he is not sure but feels it is option C and keeps on thinking on the question. Prakyath awaits to hear that it's a right answer and Big B shouts out loudly and says that it is the correct answer and he wins Rs 25,00,000.

Everyone in the audience applauds his intelligence and Big B says it's a well played question.

Prakyath interrupts and says that he would like to says something. He further adds “This amount is quite big and until now I was doing internships and ther you are given a small amount for your work so the first stipend I got I brought a watch for my mom so this 50 lakhs I would like to dedicate this to my mom.”

Big B tells Prakyath’s mother that “There are very few children who think in such a way and that to at such young age. You should be proud of your son. It’s a very good wish that you have thought of thinking about your mom. Very well done Prakyath.”

Prakyath further asks Amitabh Bachchan “Sir when you had earned your first salary what did you do with it”, Big B replies “My first salary I also thought the same thing of giving it to my parents and therefore with the first salary I did this and bought something for my mother and father. My first job was in a Kolkata company where I was an executive and the moment I got my first holiday I packed my belonging and took my gifts and went to Delhi. With all my heart I gave the gift to my father, it was a watch which I had bought. But there is twist in the story when I opened the box the watch was missing and later I found out that when I had gone for shower my maid had stolen the watch and it was very sad for me. But I thought of gifting my family when I got the money.”

After a little talk Big B resumes with the game again and asks the next question for Rs 50,00,000 and the question was:

Prakyath says that he is not sure but feels it is option B and keeps on thinking on the question. He takes a few minutes to answer the question, but later thinks of quitting the question. Before leaving Big B asks him to guess one option and he selects option B and to which Amitabh Bachchan says it was a wrong question and the right answer was option A.
He takes home Rs. 25,00,000 and as soon as he left the hooter rings loudly and the episode ends
