Based on the Nirbhaya case, Delhi Crime follows the Delhi Police investigation into the finding of the men who perpetrated this crime.

Shefali is a National Award winning actress with a career spanning over two decades across various genres and formats. She recently starred in Delhi Crime, a Netflix original based on the true story of Nirbhaya. She has won numerous awards including Filmfare Awards (Popular and Critics), Stardust Awards, and the Tokyo International Film Festival Award. She won the National Award for Best Supporting Actress at the 55th National Film Awards for her work in The Last Lear . She has given breakthrough performances in several films including Satya, Monsoon Wedding, Gandhi, My Father, Dil Dhadakne Do and recently she starred in Once Again opposite Neeraj Kabi.



Rajesh Tailang is an actor and writer, known for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015), Siddharth (2013) and Phantom (2015).



Rasika Dugal is an actress, known for Qissa: The Tale of a Lonely Ghost (2013), Chutney (2016) and Kshay (2011).




Yashaswini Dayama is an actress, known for Dear Zindagi (2016), Phobia (2016) and Made in Heaven (2019).



Adil Hussain is known for his critically acclaimed performances in award winning films such as Ang Lee's Oscar winning Life of Pi, Subhashish Bhutiani's Hotel Salvation/Mukti Bhavan, Iram Haq's What Will People Say, Danis Tanovic's Tigers, Mira Nair's The Reluctant Fundamentalist, Pan Nalin's Angry Indian Goddesses, Partho Sen-Gupta's Sunrise, Italo Spinelli's Gangor, Prashant Nair's Umrika, Leena Yadav's Parched and Bauddhayan Mukherji's The Violin Player . For his lead role in Hotel Salvation and Maj Rati Ketaki, he received a National Award in India in 2017. He also received the Kanon Prisen award in Norway for Best SupportingAactor for his work in What Will People Say in 2018.

For Mukti Bhavan which has received over 25 International awards, he has been nominated for numerous Best actor awards and won at the DCSAFF and Rajasthan International Film Festival . He received Best actor award for his work in Lessons in Forgetting at the NJSCF. His is widely known for his roles in English Vinglish, Lootera, Main aur Charles, Dobaara, Aiyaary etc. and has acted in numerous independent as well as commercial films in the Hindi, Bengali , Assamese, Malayali, Tamil film industries as well as in many Indo-European art house films.

He speaks English, Hindi, Bengali and Assamese fluently.



Gopal Dutt is an actor and writer, known for In Your Name (2003), Samrat & Co. (2014) and AIB: Honest Engineering Campus Placements (2017).




Denzil Smith is a versatile Anglo-Indian actor, known for playing the role of Jinnah in Viceroy's House (2017), The Lunchbox (2013), The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011) and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015), the television series Delhi Crime (2019) and P.O.W. Bandi Yuddh Ke (2016-17) as Lala for which he won the Indian Television Academy Award Best Actor in a Negative Role (2017).

Based in Mumbai, Smith began his acting career on stage in 1988 with Pearl Padamsee's Les Liaisons Dangereuse where he first worked with Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak, becoming a member of Shah's Motley Productions. By 1998, he also began working extensively with Lilette Dubey's PrimeTime Theatre in productions such as On a Muggy Night in Mumbai, Sammy, August: Osage County and "Gauhar" about the life of Gauhar Jaan. These plays toured both India and various cities in North America, UK and Europe, South-East Asia and Australia.

In 2007, Smith joined All Star Artists for the Broadway style musical production The Merchants of Bollywood - in the lead role of the grandfather, Shantilal, and then later a double role of narrator and Bollywood director Tony Bakshi. There were 600 shows between 2007 and 2009 in the UK, Europe and Malaysia. He returned for a run in the UK and Lebanon in 2016, then again in Kuwait in 2018.

One of Smith's early films was Mango Soufflé (2002), which was promoted as "first gay male film from India." He then went on to play a range of characters from a Tibetan Monk in Paap (2003), gangster against Amitabh Bachchan in Ek Ajnabee (2005), professor in Braman Naman (2016) and Marathi film Manjha (2017), Manipuri militant in Disney's Jagga Jasoos (2017), comedic villain in Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi (2018) and detective in Badla (2019).

More recently, Smith has returned to the small screen with Netflix's Delhi Crime (2019) , P.O.W. Bandi Yuddh Ke (2016-17), Made in Heaven (2019, S1, E6), The Good Karma Hospital (2019, S3, 22) and as the Maharaja of Kalyan in the British series Beecham House (2019).



Swati Bhatia (born 9 March) is a multi-talented Media Professional. She is an Indian Actress , Anchor,Journalist, Sports Commentator, Radio Jockey, TV Producer and Documentary Film maker. She gained popularity with her strong character in Delhi Crime Netflix series (2019), Rajya Sabha TV- Goshti, Pavitr Rishta, Sab ki ladali bebo, aapki antra and Humari dewrani. Worked as an Anchor at Rajya Sabha Television later joined Member of Parliament Shri Maheish Girri as Media Head and PR. Presently she choose to be an Academician and Entrepreneur in handling Media operations and PR

One person with multiple disciplines. Ms Bhatia studied Bachelors in Home Science from [[Institute of Home Economics]], Delhi University, followed by the Masters in Food and Nutrition from DAVV, Indore. She is studious so continued to take Diploma in Naturopathy and Yoga from Delhi then gained her second Bachelor's degree in Education. Diploma in Multi Media from Oxford Institute. Also Post graduate diploma in Journalism and Mass communication. Apart from acting Ms Bhatia is Naturopath and Dietician specialized in Diabetes and Cardiology.

Swati Bhatia was born on 9 March in Delhi. She started doing stage at a very early age. At the age of 6 she started presenting radio shows for AIR, Delhi. Late teens she debut in television with anchoring a show called Malvanchal for Doordarshan. She also worked as the Station Head at FM Radio in 2007 and was the popular RJ for the night band Love Dost. Then she moved to Mumbai and established herself as an Actress and Anchor. She also Anchored the Common Wealth Games 2010 and was the first Indian Anchor to announce the first Indian Gold Medal.



Sanjay Bishnoi is known for his work on Delhi Crime (2019), Ashok Vatika (2018) and Tramp (2018).



Sanjiv Chopra is an actor and producer, known for Amal (2007), Do Dooni Chaar (2010) and Chintu Ji (2009).




Sudeep Singh is an actor, known for October (2018), Delhi Crime (2019) and Yeh Pyaar Nahi Toh Kya Hai (2018).

Default 'Delhi Crime' Wins International Emmy Award For Drama Series 2020

Recently, we reported about how Netflix's highly critically-acclaimed show Delhi Crime was nominated in the Drama Series category at the International Emmy Awards 2020.



Having Indian shows and films being nominated on the big stage and further having them get noticed by global audience is probably the feeling a filmmaker lives for.

Lately, we have had multiple shows and films from Netflix India and other streamers get on the big stage scoring a nomination at some of the most prestigious award ceremonies. Recently, we reported about how Netflix's highly critically-acclaimed show Delhi Crime was nominated in the Drama Series category at the International Emmy Awards 2020. And to everyone's excitement and joy, the show has gone on to win the award too-
