Most headaches are nothing to worry about and they usually go away by themselves. If you can't bear the pain, try these natural remedies to ease the pain quickly.

For common headaches caused by dehydration, lack of sleep, fatigue, constipation, weather changes, etc. These natural remedies may help relive the pain.




Drink lots of water: Dehydration can affect several metabolic processes and trigger a headache. Whenever you feel a headache, drink plenty of water; if possible, drink warm water. It will also help regulate bowel movements and eliminate toxins from the body that are responsible for the headache.




Use ghee: Ghee or clarified ****er is an effective remedy for headaches. If constipation is the underlying cause of your headache, consumption of a little amount of ghee everyday (best with hot rice), will regulate your bowel movements and avoid chronic headache. You may also release a few drops of ghee into both nostrils and lie down for a while when you feel headache.




Drink ginger tea: Ginger is a solution to myriad health issues. This common spice can also act as a pain****er. Simply crush a little fresh ginger, boil with water, filter and drink the warm liquid and your headache will disappear.




Try steam inhalation: Congestion in the nasal cavity and the sinuses may cause headaches too. In such cases, inhaling steam for a few minutes will help to clear up the congestion and relieve the pain. You may add a few drops of any of the essential oils into the water in your inhaler or neti pot to make the experience even more relaxing.




Do some stretching exercises: Along with headaches, you will feel tenseness in the neck, shoulder and scalp. Stretching exercises that target these areas can help reduce the intensity of the headaches. For example, move your chin upwards and downwards, towards left and right alternately. Slowly rotating the neck in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions may help the shoulder and neck muscles relax.
