Azim Premji net worth According to a Business Standard report, Azim Premji earned around Rs 9,100 crore from dividends and share buybacks, about 22 times from his year’s earning which were pegged at Rs 400 crore. Owing to this exponential increase in profits, Premji has jumped second on the list of billionaires who earned the most during the 2023-24 financial year, 25 places higher than his previous year’s number 27 position. Currently, his net worth is pegged at Rs 1,200 crore, but this could all change if the reported earnings are correct. Who earned how much this financial year? As per the Business Standard report, Tata Sons, the holding company of the India’s largest business house Tata Group, remains the unquestioned king as far as profits are concerned. The Tata Sons earned a stunning Rs 36,500 crore from dividends and share buybacks, which is 7.5 percent this financial year, 7.5 percent more than the conglomerate’s 2022-23 earning which were pegged at Rs 27,800 crore. Notably, Tata Consultancy Services, the country’s largest IT company and second only to Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries in terms of market cap, was the highest earner for Tata Sons which has a 71.74 percent stake in TCS.
