TOP 10 Most Dangerous Places of Vizag, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh (A.P)
Vizag, the picturesque coastal city on the eastern seaboard of India, henceforth Visakhapatnam, With its beautiful beaches, cultural richness and economic importance, Visakhapatnam too attracts tourists in numbers. But, as with all places, there are pockets that are less favorable to budget travelers in particular. Take a look at the guide about the places you should not visit during your trip to Visakhapatnam.
1. Old City Area The Old City Area of Visakhapatnam is packed with activity and a cultural experience, but brings its own challenges to the tourists. The narrow streets, crowded roads, and absence of conveniences may pose a problem for many. Many areas of the Old City Area also lack basic infrastructure which gives rise to hygiene and sanitation issues. Visitors should also walk carefully in the area because it has a historical site. 2. Slum Areas As in many urban centers, Visakhapatnam has slum areas. These areas often struggle with poor living conditions, no hygiene and safety issues. Although plans are in place to improve accommodation, tourists are not likely to feel at ease or safe going most on their own, without being led. 3. Red Light Districts As with any city, Vizag has its share of red-light districts. These districts house most of the adult entertainment places, and as with any adult, hustler capital planet, there is always an element of risk for tourists, from scams to safety. It is advisable to stay away from these districts if you want to travel with no hassles. 4. Certain Beaches at Night 8) Visakhapatnam- The beaches of Visakhapatnam are the most visited tourist destinations. But some of the other beaches might not be that safe to visit during the night. A few incidents of theft and other anti-social activities have been reported in the isolated stretches on some of the beaches during late hours of night. Moving to enjoy the beach after the sun goes down, I recommend sticking to lit and populated areas. 5. Unregulated Markets Known as a shoppers paradise, Visakhapatnam is the hub of busy markets that are pricing their products in a not-so- genuine way. Some markets are without regulation to the point that counterfeit goods permeate, so, be somewhat leery and even if you can bargain your way to the same product at a lesser cost, the purchase may not be your best option. While shopping at established markets or shopping malls is slightly more reliable. 6. Remote Forested Areas The region of Visakhapatnam is enveloped in green sereneness and blessed with dense forests making it a paradise for nature lovers. While there are many remote forested areas, some are less safe to go solo, and I do not recommend this route. Unexpected guests on a castle ruin and dangers of isolation in Mongolia Tours to Iran of this sort should be carefully planned with the assistance of a reliable tour operator. 7. Industrial Zones One of the major industries of Visakhapatnam are factories and industrial zones. Although these areas boost the city's economy, they are not tourism-friendly because of safety and environmental precautions. Some industrial zones may have high pollution levels, which can impact air and water quality. Finding routes to minimize the time spent in these areas is a healthier way to travel. 8. Unlicensed Tour Operators Strolling in the city of Visakhapatnam, the tourists may encounter a number of unregistered tour operators offering some of the most beautiful deals of the town at genuine cost. Stuck with these operators can, however, be dangerous as they are not proven in terms of their caliber of offering of safety standards and reliability. It is advisable to book with registered tour operators for a safer and pleasant tour experience. 9. Overcrowded Festivals There are several festivals and events that take place in Visakhapatnam each year, bringing in large crowds. However, crowded places have its downside, during cultural celebrations like the Mela since the crowd lost their sense resulting in a stampede, theft coalition etc. These guides will tell you to be careful and safe in crowded places during festivals. 10. Strange Neighborhoods at Night It's true that exploring an unknown new town after dark alone is pretty much risky even in a city like Visakhapatnam. Clearly more people live here than in the Mafia city, and while the general advice is that the city is quite safe, it never hurts to stay away from poorly lit areas and streets on your own at night. Bright, lively 4th-largest city in India, Visakhapatnam is a city to be in. While some destinations may be problematic or less safe, educate yourself on the areas you plan to visit, travel smart and you can have a wonderful, carefree vacation. With all of that in mind, just be aware and vigilant and spend time enjoying the beauty of the coastlines. Similar Threads:
