Mirzapur Trivia
- Gajjumal college was actually set up in Uday Pratap College in Varanasi.
- Guddu and Bablu are third-year B'com (Bachelor of Commerce) students.
- Second web-series of Pankaj Tripathi. He also appeared in Sacred Games (2018) on Netflix in the same year.
- Akhanda's house was shot in Moti jheel haveli (mansion) in Varanasi. The production designers took 10 days to restore the dilapidated exterior of the haveli. Care was taken to preserve the original murals painted on the walls of the haveli.
- Exclusive roundtables, scene commentary, bonus videos and behind-the-scenes photos from the episodes are accessible in the X-Ray Bonus tab in Prime Video.
- Golu (Shweta Tripathi) is the young sister of Sweety (Shriya Pilgaonkar). In real life, Shweta Tripathi is elder to Shriya by three years.
- The badminton sequence in the fourth episode was the first scene shot for the series, when principal photography began on September 27, 2017.
- On an interview with the fans, both Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi said, in the whole series "Beena" is their favorite character.
- Pankaj Tripathi shares his real surname in his movie character as well.
- First Web series of Divyendu Sharma.
- One of the few web series that gain popularity in Bangladesh.
- It has been implied several times over the course of the series that Pankaj Tripathi's character Akhandanand Tripathi, despite being a fairly formidable crime boss and competent businessman, is ***ually impotent. Therefore, it's highly plausible that his son Phoolchand aka Munna, played by Divyendu Sharma, is actually the son of his grandfather Satyanand Tripathi played by Kulbhushan Kharbanda bearing in mind Satyanand's insane ***ual appetite as displayed on screen along with Satyanand fathering a child with his own daughter-in-law and Akhandanand's second wife Beena as revealed in the second season.
- Judging by his actions in the first season, Abhishek Banerjee's character Compounder had romantic feelings for Munna Tripathi played by Divyendu Sharma.
- In an unspecified poll, Rajesh Tailang's character Ramakant Pandit, who is the on-screen father of Guddu, the deceased Bablu and Dimpy, alongside Shweta Tripathi's character Golu Gupta, who's the on-screen younger sibling of the deceased Sweety Gupta, were voted two of the least interesting and most irritating characters of the series. Some voters were also of the opinion that rather than Amit Sial's character IPS officer Maurya, Tailang's character should've been ****ed off in the climatic encounter scene during the second season.
- Based on his completely inexistent intellect and mood swings, Guddu Pandit, played by Ali Fazal, suffers from some sort of mental disability. Whether or not it's dyslexia is not clear.
- Losing out on the Chief Minister's seat to his own daughter-in-law Madhuri was the first defeat Akhandanand Tripathi faced in either of his business, criminal or political ventures.
- In FUKREY 3(2023), Richa Chaddha's character Bholi Punjaban mocks the Election Commission officer as Kaleen Bhaiya when asked about her registered birth name. Pankaj Tripathi, who plays Kaleen Bhaiya in this series, has played Panditji in all of the first 3 FUKREY movies. Coincidentally, the FUKREY franchise has also been produced by Excel Entertainment with Ali Fazal, who plays Guddu Pandit in MIRZAPUR, being one of the titular leads Zafar in the first 2 movies. He's also Richa Chaddha's spouse off screen.
- Although ****ed off towards the end of the second season, Kulbhushan Kharbanda's character Satyanand Tripathi is the overarching antagonist of the franchise.
- In the pilot episode of the series, Akhandanand in frustration retorts that he's fed up of Munna's antiques to which Satyanand sarcastically replies that he should conceive another child in that case. Ironically, Satyanand ends up impregnating his daughter-in-law in final episode of the first season. Also, throughout his presence in the series, Satyanand is seen to look down at women as nothing more than ***ual objects incapable of purposes other than household chores. He ends up being ****ed by the two women he molested the most, namely his daughter-in-law Beena and his maid Radhia.
- In both the first and last episodes of the first season, Munna ****s the groom in a wedding.
- The last episode of the first season contains some elements from Game of Thrones (2011), such as the "Red Wedding", chopping off ***** (Ramsay Snow doing so to Theon Greyjoy) and a father having *** with his own son's wife/lover (as Tywin Lannister does with Shae).
- The series started with Wedding Scene and Ended the Episode in Reception Scene. Both Scenes involves the ****ing.
- The first season starts with Munna in a wedding shootout and ends with Munna in a wedding shootout. The only difference is that Munna is on the opposite side of the gun. Hence, life comes a full circle for him.
- In S01E07-Lions of Mirzapur, when Maurya's men attack Guddu and Bablu, the cricket commentary in the background refers to someone named Vayu batting for Mumbai Mavericks. This is actually a reference to 2017 Amazon Prime Web Series, "Inside Edge", also produced by Excel Entertainment. Vayu Raghavan is one of the protagonists who plays for the Mumbai Mavericks, a T20 Cricket Franchise in the show.
- In 2nd episode around 00:15 mins Munna bhaiya is seen playing GTA V Video Game. In that scene Munna bhaiya is playing as "Trevor" the video game character who likes to **** and spread chaos everywhere just like Munna bhaiya who like to do the same in Mirzapur series
