Many of the big shots of the bollywood, business and media were present in the grand ceremony. Amidst all the tensions following the recent IPL controversies and match fixing charges against him, the IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi was also present in the Awards Night. Personalities such has Vijay Mallya has expressed warm regards for the IPL chief on twitter saying “Despite media bashing it was heart warming to witness applause by Owners/ Players for Lalit Modi at the awards for the fine job he has done”. Preity Zinta, after attending the IPL Awards nights also tweeted saying “It was so nice to see Lalit smile despite all hell braking loose in the media. U have 2 give it 2 him for making IPL what it is !”.
