Love Aaj Kal: If Lux Perfect Bride was a novel, movie or a fairy tale...

Kal, (A fairy tale):

Once upon a time there was a very fragile and homely girl called Priyanka who would start crying at the drop of a hat. She was living with an evil sorceress Sudesh Rani who happened to be her Step-mom too (Priyanka said Hitesh is like her brother). She always dreamed of a prince charming to come on a horse and sweep her off her feet and live happily every after. Her dreams came true in the form of a very handsome Prince Rajbeer on a thread mill. It was love at first sight for both of them and soon they became inseparable. Prince’s mom, the Queen, was happy for him but not the King. He ordered Prince Rajbeer to look out for other apt Princesses. Priyanka cried and cried and cried, in fear of losing her Prince came to a conclusion that she had to win his parents hearts too. She almost succeeded in winning their hearts but destiny struck her like lightning bolt in the form of TV9. The king was completely heart broken and became dead against their love. Three angels; Malaika, Amrita and Shekar, who were constantly watching over Priyanka, decided to descend on earth and fix things for her. They sprinkled some magic dust on the King and he finally accepted Priyanka. The prince has gone back to his castle after promising Priyanka that he would arrange for their wedding. Even though the evil sorceress tried her best to separate them, she couldn’t, as their bond was too strong.

Since the last few pages (weeks) of Priyanka’s fairy tale book are still missing, we don’t know what happens next. All fairytales start with once upon a time and end with happily ever after. So Priyanka is still waiting in her abode and shedding her tears profusely for Prince Rajbeer to come and make their life happily ever after. (Well I finished MY story with happily ever after )

Aaj (Aaj ki naari):

There is this girl so beautiful, charming and can make any guy go weak on his knees just by her smile. This girl is very homely, excelling in everything she does and also professional, having a successful career so early in life. Her name is Gurpreet and she is a perfect example for a girl next door. Here comes our hero, so handsome and smart, meets Gurpreet and there are sparks all over the place. Together they dance, exchange roses, share ice-cream and chocolate, and dream about being with each other. Just when they think that they are in paradise, destiny is cooking up its own plan. Enter hero’s mom, who lives in the past, has issues with Gurpreet’s present. The evil sorceress, supposedly a well-wisher, is also somehow living in the present, acts as a rift between them and this time it works.



Our hero is torn between the two ladies, has to make a choice between the two, let alone convincing them. Our aaj ki naari has issues with her hero and his family for refusing her, set out an adventure by confronting them to seek the truth behind their refusal. While we are thinking that she took matter in her hands and made it worse, our tri-angels, Malaika, Amrita and Shekar, who have evolved into human beings now come in favor of Gurpreet and give them second, third, forth….. chance to meet up and sort their differences. Our hero has chosen his option already and has difficulty in patching up. Our Aaj ki naari, as rightfully said, is persuasive, optimistic and hopes to rewrite her future with the help of her tri-angels who are always on her side.


Time has to tell whether Gurpreet will become successful in changing her fate as the last three reels of the tape is still being rewritten.

Kal (Love 2050):

The famous Nostradamus looked into the future and made a prophecy of how two people meet and part their ways. He ‘prophesized’ that one was Pooja and the other was Hitesh. He also foresaw that the world has distorted so much in the future where the meaning of love was changed altogether into courtship and grafting. This guy fell for her beauty and the girl fell for his family background (on the context that Pooja liked his mom more than him) and both needed each other to show the society, that they are perfect couple and perfect for each other. After a few days of courtship, guy was too happy because he was getting best in the lot, more than what he deserved but the girl wasn’t too keen on continuing the play. Damus saw that the guy was the son of evil sorceress, who somehow had managed to live in the future too, so it was obvious that girl was now falling into the bad books of their family, who wasn’t interested in him anymore and couldn’t reason her opinion in public. It’s future, so Nostradamus couldn’t find whether she was scared of the family or she just wanted play with them for a while and shun them at the right time. Destiny didn’t have any role to play here and there was no necessity to test their lives, as they were testing their own. As you sow, so you reap! Evil sorceress was constantly trying to spoil others peace and now her son had to face the consequences. Each time she tried to use her black magic, the girl was getting stronger enough to reject him. The tri-angels, who had been derogated into mere humans had nothing to say and just weren’t bothered about them anymore. The guy chose his path immediately and the girl chose hers.



Nostradamus tried to get further into the future but alas! Evil sorceress found out about it somehow and shooed him away. He was so scared of her that he started writing everything cryptically so that only people with brains could decode his language. Last few paragraphs have to be decoded yet to find out about whether or not this evil sorceress sees her end in the future at least!



This show is getting boring, so why not make something up to entertain us! What say?
