Default Ayub Khan and Vaibhavi Behl to go negative in Devi

After playing a positive character in Uttaran, Ayub Khan will now turn
all dark for Shakuntalam Telefilms’ Devi on Imagine. Vaibhavi, wife of actor Amit Behl will return to television after five years. She too will be seen in a negative character.

Says Vaibhavi, “Yes, I am returning after almost five years as I was enjoying my motherhood. Now that I feel my son has grown up, I decided to come back to television. He will be turning three this March.

This is the first time ever I will be seen as an antagonist on any show. I was surprised when the producers offered me this negative lead. I had my doubts but they told me it’s not the look but the character that’s more important here. I am extremely excited and waiting for the show to begin.”

Talking about her character, the actress says, “I am the only antagonist in the family of the girl. Sudhir Nema will play my on-screen husband who believes that the girl born in the family is actually a goddess.”

Talking about Khan’s character an actor source close to him says, “Ayub Khan is playing Chaudhary, a negative character. Chaudhary is the arbitrator of the village and his sole aim is to rule the villagers and use his might on them.

It’s quite similar to Ammaji’s(Meghna Malik) character in Naa Aana Is Des Laado. He is not very fond of the girl who is worshipped like a devi in the village.”

We tried calling up Khan and even texted him but he didn’t revert.
