Sony a7C In Photos: World's Smallest and Lightest Full Frame Mirrorless Camera

The Sony a7C (Alpha 7C) mirrorless camera has made its way to the India market months after its launch in select countries. The company is touting the device as the "world's smallest and lightest" full-frame camera that supports in-body image stabilisation (IBIS), 4K video recording, and more. The body of the Sony a7C comes with a price tag of Rs 1.68 lakh and is available to purchase via offline retail stores right now. However, with the new kit lens SEL2860, the cost of the camera goes up to Rs. 1.97 lakhs.

The Sony A7C features 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, in a magnesium alloy body. It has a native ISO range of 100-51,200, burst shooting of up to 10fps, and 5-axis IBIS. It weighs 509 grams and measures 124.0mm x 71.1mm x 59.7mm. The camera is also compatible with SD memory card, SDHC memory card, and SDXC memory card.

The Sony a7C includes a 3-inch rear, touchscreen LCD display with a 921K dot resolution. It further packs an OLED viewfinder (EVF) with a 2.36 million dot resolution but with a magnification of 0.59x. In terms of video abilities, the Sony a7C comes with support for 4K videos at 30fps or 1080p video at 120fps.

Sony has also thrown in real-time eye-tracking autofocus, including animal eye-tracking for stills on the Sony a7C. The camera also supports advanced shooting modes such as S-Log, HLG picture profiles, and more, Additionally, it packs built-in Wi-Fi and microphone along with support for Bluetooth and NFC.

Lastly, Sony a7C gets a new battery pack that is CIPA-certified to last 740 stills in a single charge – ample for amateurs to use through a brief family holiday. It further includes a USB Type-C port which can be used to charge the battery while it's inside the camera.
