It is also a fact that sometimes your pregnancy diet may be influenced by religious beliefs, social conditioning and health conditions. Undercooked meat: You must always eat well-cooked meat when you’re pregnant to avoid the risk of toxoplasmosis. This is caused by a tiny parasite that lives in raw meat.

Raw eggs: This includes partially cooked eggs too. Eating raw eggs can give you salmonella, which is avoidable if you are pregnant.


Sesame seeds: In earlier days, dry sesame seeds were used as a medicine for abortion. It stimulates the uterine muscle and may cause an expulsion of the fertilized ovum.


Papaya: Raw and unripe papaya contains a substance called latex, which causes uterine contractions. Papain and pepsin in papaya restricts fetal growth.


Pineapple: It contains bromelain, which can soften the cervix and lead to miscarriage. It can also heat your body up rapidly leading to abortion or premature birth.
