Double of IPL = Maha Kumbh 2025
The Maha Kumbh, held once every 12 years, is expected to attract over 450 million devotees this time.
 The massiveness of the event can be defined by the number of devotees who are gathering in Prayagraj. Notably, 5 percent of the world’s total population is gathered in the city. This figure is double the total population of Pakistan. As many as 40 crore devotees are expected to come this time. The number of devotees at Maha Kumbh is nearly twice Pakistan’s total population and exceeds that of the USA (335 million) and Russia (144 million). The UP government has installed 1.5 lakh public toilets for devotees, which is equal to 2,666 toilets per 100,000 people. It is to be noted that, in the 2019 Prayagraj Ardh Kumbh, as, many as 13,218 tons of food grains were used (54,000 quintals of rice and 78,000 quintals of wheat). As compared to the daily consumption at the Golden Temple langar, it is 10 quintals of rice and 100 quintals of wheat.Kumbh 2019’s rice usage was 110 times and wheat usage was 16 times higher than the Golden Temple’s langar. The Kumbh area is bigger than the world’s largest stadium. The size of the area where Maha Kumbh event is underway is spread over more than 4,000 hectares, which is 160 times bigger than the largest stadium in the world.Not only that, the Kumbh area is so big that 82 Vatican cities can be established. The Maha Kumbh held once every 12 years, is expected to attract over 450 million devotees this time. Pilgrims will gather at the Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet, to take a sacred dip. The event will conclude on February 26.
