Sample Scenario: Assembly Processing Using a Production Order

MAT01 has been assigned strategy group 82. When a sales order is created for this material, a production order is created automatically in the background. The availability check is performed at component level.

Scheduling determines whether the shipping activities and assembly activities can be performed so that the requested delivery date can be kept to.

Taking into account the results of scheduling and the availability check, the system proposes the earliest possible delivery date on the basis of the component with the latest availability date.

Requirements are passed on as sales order stock.

The manufacturing costs are calculated in the production order and are passed to the sales order. The costs are recorded in the condition type EK02 and are displayed on the pricing screen.

Shipping activities are performed in the usual way.
The assembly transaction can be invoiced using the usual forms of billing.
The assembly transaction is settled using one of the usual procedures for settling make-to-order transactions.
