Be it a lockdown due to COVID-19 or prohibition of public gatherings, Marathi TV hasn't ceased to engage everyone at home. This year, many TV reality shows and daily soaps tried their best to entertain the viewers. here's a look at some popular Marathi TV shows that entertained telly audiences this year.
Aai Kuthe Kay Karte
Popular Bengali TV show Sreemoyee and Hindi soap Anupama's Marathi version Aai Kuthe Kay Karte has been ruling the Marathi television ever since its launch, TRP report suggests; due credits to the storyline and compelling twists. Talking about the storyline, Aniruddha has an extramarital affair with Sanjana, and betrayed by her husband (Aniruddha), Arundhati decides to get divorced and move on in life. Madhurani Prabhulkar, Milind Gawali, and Rupali Bhosle are playing lead roles in the show.
Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta
Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kay Asta is also one of the popular Marathi TV shows of this year. It is the story of Gauri, a young woman, who is mistreated by the Shirke Patil family. However, when their NRI son witnesses her humiliation, he befriends her and later ties the knot with her. They both later face many obstacles in their married life but never leave each other. The show has often managed to secure a position in the TRP charts.
Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra
The popular Marathi comedy show that has been entertaining the audience for the past three years now has yet again charmed its fans. The show never fails to entertain the audience with its rib-tickling skits and hilarious performances by its cast. Sai Tamhankar and Prasad Oak are judging the show.
Majhi Tujhi Reshimgath
The star-studded 'Majhi Tujhi Reshimgath' which was launched recently grabbed attention within no time with its unique storyline. Actor Shreyas Talpade made his comeback on Marathi TV while Prarthana Behere made her debut with the show. It is the love tale of Yash, a rich businessman, and Neha, a beautiful woman who is a single mother and has a daughter Pari. The actress child actress of the show Myra Vaikul also became one of the key attractions of the show.
Ajunahi Barsat Aahe
Umesh Kamat and Mukta Barve starrer Ajunahi Barsat Aahe has been treating the viewers with Adiraj and Mira's love story. The popular actors, who are best known for their acting chops, are happy to entertain the audience. It is a story of exes Adiraj and Mira who cross paths after a decade of their break up. The duo later falls in love again and ties the knot. Along with the storyline, the show is popular for its star cast and its strong performances.
Bigg Boss Marathi 3
The most awaited reality TV Bigg Boss Marathi season 3 was finally launched in 2021 after a hiatus of nearly two years. The show was launched with a bang with 16 new contestants. Host Mahesh Manjrekar, who was diagnosed with cancer recently, returned to host the season after recovery. The show is currently inching close to its finale and is all set to crown its winner very soon.
