Set against the backdrop of Kolkata, an eight-year-old Bondita is being married off to a 60-year-old man. But as fate would have it, her life takes a sudden tragic turn. While she becomes prey to social injustice, fate leads her to her husband Anirudh, a London-return Barrister who wishes to liberalize women and unstrap them from cultural stereotypes. As he pledges to fight against the age-old norms and help Bonita find her identity, he unfolds a pathway for her to become a Barrister Babu. While Bondita asks some thought-provoking questions, Anirudh through her journey tries to fight them. Will Bondita and Anirudh be able to fight against this broken culture and mark the beginning of a revolution?

Mumbai 26^th February: He is a 28-year-old free-spirited person who loves his freedom, Reyansh. She is a righteous girl who is always protecting her broken heart, Pranati. And then there is a feisty 8-year-old, who has learnt to be street smart, Jugnu. Tracing the journey of these three will be COLORS’ upcoming drama series, Pavitra Bhagya. The show will highlight the complexities of three connected lives as they cross each other's path by the stroke of destiny. Produced by Balaji Telefilms, Pavitra Bhagya is set to premiere on 2^nd March and air every Monday to Friday at 10 pm.

Reyansh (played by Kunal Jaisingh) is a rich, flamboyant boy who doesn’t believe in committing to relationships. Pranati (played by Aneri Vajani), is a girl with solid middle-class values and high morals. The one time she decides to let her heart lead the way, she falls in love with Reyansh but eventually is left scarred and broken. 8 years later, oblivious to the existence of her child from Reyansh, she decides to move on, but destiny has other plans in store for her. Unknowingly, she crosses path with her daughter Jugnu (Vaishnavi Prajapati), who she thought she had lost while giving birth. Jugnu who like a firefly finds light in the darkness has over the years learned to emerge stronger from everything that life has put her through in an orphanage. In the ordinary course of

life, people fall in love, get married and have kids in that order. Here, a child will begin a story, but will it ever lead to love? Will Jugnu be able to make a family with Reyansh and Pranati?

Pavitra Bhagya boasts of a terrific cast that includes Kunal Jaisingh, Aneri Vajani and Vaishnavi Prajapati in the lead. The supporting cast includes Sherrin Varghese who plays Reyansh's Father, Vibha Chibber as dadi Baljit Kaur. Accompanying them are Ajay Chakraborty as Praniti's father and Ruma Rajni as Pranati's mom.

Set against Devgarh, a small village in Uttar Pradesh, the show brings to fore Vidya’s apprehensions and struggles as she steps into the role of a school teacher to financially support her family after her husband’s demise. In the process, she has an encounter with the Pradhan of the village (played by Waqar Sheikh) who poses as a big hindrance in her outing. As she goes along in her journey, Vidya discovers many loopholes in her school and the overarching education system. There is only one person, district magistrate Vivek Vardhan Singh (played by Namish Taneja), who recognizes Vidya’s efforts and acts as her support. Ultimately, she not only ends up winning over her personal struggles but also pins down the people plaguing the education system. Raised in a tightly knit family with a strict and reserved father, a loving and supportive dadi, a melodramatic mother, Pinky believes in living life to the fullest. Just like every other girl, even Pinky’s parents want her to get married, her height always poses as a hurdle.
