Ravi Kumar (Anil Kapoor) is a young man who gets fired from one job after another. His father, a school teacher, (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) has just been demoted for turning in a politicians son for cheating. The family moves to Kashipur ruled by a gang with the support of politicians. Ravi falls in love with Kiran (Juhi Chawla). Being fed up with the injustice in the world, Ravi decides to do something about the gang that's rules the town. During his efforts to save the town, he is sent to jail. In the meantime his family and friends put a campaign together in which Ravi runs for MLA. If he wins the election he will be freed from jail and have a place in society. If he loses, he will spend the rest of his life behind bars. What will be the result of the election? Will this loafer be the hero of the society?

And the man has never stepped inside India. Who are the enemies? They have obviously confused him with Rohit. But then Rohit is very obviously dead. Why would someone want to **** an innocent like Rohit? Raj gets to the bottom of the mystery and the results are too shocking for words
